FRANKLIN, TN — Eddie Mapp, front of house engineer with eclectic alt-rock/pop band Paramore, is using three sE Electronics Voodoo VR1 Ribbon Microphones and a pair of patented IRF2 Instrument Reflexion Filters with the band on tour. Paramore is currently on an arena tour of Latin America before heading to Europe for a month in support of its self-titled fourth album, which made its debut at #1 on the U.S. Billboard 200 chart in April.

NCG Eastwood Cinemas Installs Meyer System for “Xtreme” Screening Room

LANSING, MI — The 18-screen multiplex NCG Eastwood Cinemas in Lansing, Mich. has selected a Meyer Sound cinema loudspeaker system for its premium “Xtreme” screening room. The installation comprises three Acheron 100 and three Acheron LF screen channel loudspeakers, 10 X-800C cinema subwoofers and 26 HMS-10 cinema surround loudspeakers. The system is driven and optimized by a Galileo loudspeaker management system with three Galileo 616 processors.

For UW’s Camp Randall Stadium, Daktronics Provides JBL VLA Line Arrays

MADISON, WI – In time for the football season, Daktronics recently redesigned the video board and audio system at the University of Wisconsin’s Camp Randall Stadium. Home to the Wisconsin Badgers football team, the stadium seats 80,321 people and is the 41st largest stadium in the world. To match the intensity of some of college football’s most dedicated fans, Daktronics selected Harman’s JBL VLA Series line array loudspeakers for the new audio system.

Lafayette College Upgrades Fisher Stadium with Community Gear

EASTON, PA – Lafayette College underwent a major renovation in 2006 with additional seating, synthetic turf, stadium lighting, a large press box, 19’x35’ video display, and sound system upgrade. Unfortunately the sound system upgrade did not provide even coverage, so Lafayette asked CSI to solve the problem. CSI re-aimed the existing loudspeakers, including the four Community R.5-94Ts and a pair of Community WET loudspeakers to improve coverage for the seating and added two new Community R2-94 loudspeakers on the press box.
