Vancouver’s Chan Centre Upgrades with 360-Degree Meyer Sound CAL System

VANCOUVER, BC — With an assist from GerrAudio, Sapphire Sound of Abbotsford, BC updated the sound system for the 1,185-seat Chan Shun Concert Hall within the Chan Centre for the Performing Arts here with a 360-degree system comprised of six steerable CAL column array loudspeakers from Meyer Sound. Toronto-based Engineering Harmonics’ Martin Van Dijk designed the system and Paul Alegado served as project manager. The new system is credited with a dramatic improvement in both vocal clarity and sound distribution.

BRIDGEWATER, MA — For the 1,300-seat auditorium within Bridgewater State University’s Rondileau Campus Center here, Adtech Systems installed RoomMatch loudspeakers and PowerMatch amplifiers from Bose Professional Systems. Adtech Systems’ Charles Crane noted the gear’s ability to help turn trouble spots such as the balcony into areas for a prime listening experience.
