ATK Audiotek Deploys JBL VerTec System for Super Bowl Halftime Show

EAST RUTHERFORD, NJ – For the 17th straight year, ATK Audiotek provided audio services for the National Football League’s championship game, Super Bowl XLVIII, the first ever in an outdoor cold-weather stadium. ATK Audiotek deployed its custom-designed, cart-based audio system for the game’s prestigious halftime show, held at MetLife Stadium here. Once again, ATK Audiotek outfitted their system with Harman’s JBL VerTec line array loudspeakers.

Live Tour for TV’s “The Sing-Off” Uses Roland M-480 V-Mixing System at Monitors

RED BANK, NJ – The Sony Pictures Television produced series, The Sing-Off, is hitting the road for its first live tour, featuring Season Four’s a cappella winners, Home Free, along with finalists Filharmonic and VoicePlay. The production crew is using Roland Systems Group’s M-480 V-Mixing System at monitors. They are also touring with Roland’s R-1000 for multi-channel recording and virtual sound check.

ATK Audiotek Supplements Staples Center House Rig with More JBL Gear for Grammy Awards

LOS ANGELES – Harman’s JBL loudspeakers were once again put to use at the 56th Annual Grammy Awards. ATK Audiotek provided the main PA system for the Awards ceremony, which featured four arrays each containing 12 VerTec VT4889 fullsize line array elements, plus two arrays of six VT4880A fullsize arrayable subwoofers each. An additional 12 VRX932 Constant Curvature loudspeakers were used for front fill. The Staples Center also features a permanent JBL VerTec line array system, which ATK Audiotek also put to use.

LAS VEGAS – Audio engineer Rob Mailman, who uses as many as 75 audio inputs during a typical show for Santana show, credited DiGiCo’s SD5 for helping in his need to transition from analog to digital. “ It means I can worry about mixing the show and not try to remember how to run the console,” he said, addint that was especially crucial for a dynamic band such as Santana. “It is a constant remix, every song, all night long. I may remix the same song two or three times depending on the direction the band goes in.”
