Clair Global Takes Delivery of First Two Yamaha Rivage PM10 Consoles to Arrive in U.S.
LITITZ, PA — Clair Global has taken delivery of the first two Yamaha Rivage PM10 Digital Audio Consoles to hit U.S. soil, according to Yamaha Commercial Audio. Both consoles are currently being used at front of house and monitors for Carrie Underwood’s “The Storyteller Tour.” Front of House engineer Kirk “Eek” Schreiner, pictured here, praised the console’s sound quality. “The Yamaha PM10 is the first digital desk that sounds analog to me,” he said.

LAGOS, Nigeria — One of Africa’s largest concerts and religious gatherings, The Experience, is an interdenominational gospel concert and word-based gathering organized The House On The Rock Church.
The most recent event, staged Dec. 4, drew as many as a half-million people to Tafawa Balewa Square in Lagos. Cytech World Communication deployed an Outline audio system including 30 GTO C-12 line arrays, two GTO-DF down-fills, 16 DBS 18-2 subwoofers and four LAB 21 HS infra-low subwoofers to cover the large crowd. The lineup of inspirational speakers and performers included Don Moen, Donnie McClurkin, Fred Hammond, Micah Stampley, Kim Burrell, Hezekiah Walker, Jessica Reedy and Sonnie Badu.
Berkeley Art Museum (BAMPFA) Installs a Meyer Sound Cinema System
CALIFORNIA, BERKELEY – Recently reopened UC Berkeley Art Museum and Pacific Film Archive (BAMPFA) building, one of the nation’s premier institutions for the presentation of cinema, installed a 7.1 Meyer Sound cinema system in its 232-seat Barbro Osher Theater, which hosts both film screenings, lectures and discussions regarding current films and art exhibits. Elsewhere, CAL column array loudspeakers provide sound reinforcement for a large, outdoor LED screen.

JBL System Used at 58th Annual Grammy Awards
LOS ANGELES—At the 58th Annual GRAMMY Awards, HARMAN’s JBL VTX Series line arrays were once again used by ATK Audiotek for the PA system in the STAPLES Center. The GRAMMY Awards were broadcast live in HD and 5.1 surround sound on the CBS television network and had more than 23.5 million viewers.

Bose Room Match System Selected for the Brick Breeden Fieldhouse at Montana State University

BOSTON — Berklee College of Music is using Point Source Audios’ Series8 cardioid headset microphones for their musical productions. The Point Source headset mics debuted at the school late last year. They are expected to be used for hundreds of student-run productions each year (including the recent production pictured here). Alejo Planchart, production manager in concert operations for Berklee, praised the headset mics for low coloration and high gain-before-feedback. “The sound is much more natural after feedback corrections,” Planchart noted.
