SOUTH BEND, IN – Star Trek: The Ultimate Voyage, produced by CineConcerts, brings 50 years of Star Trek to concert halls this year. The tour’s production includes a 33-piece live symphony orchestra, all members of the Czech National Symphony with special solo instruments, and conducted by American Composer, Justin Freer. Specialized Audio Visual, Inc. (SAVI) of Clifton Park, NY is providing a Yamaha CL5 Digital Audio Console for the front of house mix along with two Rio1608-D and one Rio3028-D input/output boxes.

NILES, IL – RF guru James Stoffo recounts his Super Bowl experience in frequency-challenged Santa Clara. Audio hardware and RF expertise for the event were handled by ATK Audiotek of Valencia, California, and Orlando-based Professional Wireless Systems. For the 16^th time, James Stoffo was contracted to handle all wireless systems for the on-field portion of the festivities and utilized six channels of Shure Axient.

The one thousand capacity lively room is rectangular and wide with tiled floor, hard walls, lots of glass and marble creating a unique set of challenges that xS-Series needed to address.

HOUSTON — Spartan Race competitions, sponsored by Reebok, throw all kinds of obstacles that competitors must overcome to achieve victory. But if the races are designed to be physically punishing, that doesn’t include an assault on the ears. Instead, race organizers chose QSC k Series Loudspeakers to provide the inspiration to keep the participants going in the festival area and along the race route. In the festival area, the K12 speakers are set up for the emcee and a DJ playing music and all along the course itself, which range from five to 20 miles in length.

Although this tour can be challenging to mix, technical director and FOH engineer Tony Huerta oversees both the FOH and monitor mixes using an entire Roland REAC system. His setup includes Roland’s M-5000 OHRCA Live Mixing Console, one Roland S-2416 24 x 16 digital snake stage unit, the XI-Dante card, which allows another 64 inputs, and the XI-MADI Card for future integration with Waves SoundGrid.
