CoServ Turns to Earthworks Boundary Microphones for Executive Boardroom

MILFORD, NH – CoServ Electric upgraded the boardroom at their Corinth, Texas headquarters.  Dominant Sight and Sound designed installed 10 Earthworks IMBL30-B microphones for the system. In addition to the RTI control system, the 10 IMBL30-B microphones were used in conjunction with a Symetrix Radius AEC for DSP, Just Add Power 2G+ Transmitter and Receiver for the 18 screen video wall, and a K-Array KP102 Line-array Speaker.

South Carolina Church Installs L-Acoustics Kara System

SPARTANBURG, SC — Mankin Media Systems (MMS) of Franklin, TN specified and installed an L-Acoustics Kara system for the main sanctuary at Free Chapel in Spartanburg, SC. It’s the fourth location for Gainesville, GA-based Free Chapel. The new church, which opened in a pre-existing church facility, features a 3,000-seat sanctuary. The arrays consist of nine L-Acoustics Kara and three SB18 per side.

Florida State University Upgrades Basketball Arena with Meyer Sound LEOPARD

TALLAHASSEE, FL — Florida State University (FSU) has installed one of the largest Meyer Sound LEOPARD linear sound reinforcement systems to date in its 12,500-seat Donald L. Tucker Civic Center. Known to locals as “The Tuck,” the multipurpose arena serves as the home court for the FSU Seminoles men’s and women’s basketball teams. It’s also used for a year-round schedule of other events including sports, convocations, concerts and other special gatherings, including graduation ceremonies. HOLLYWOOD – When Hollywood’s biggest stars came together to recognize excellence in cinematic achievements at the 88th annual OSCARS at the Dolby Theater, Orchestra Setup Coordinator Dan Vicari once again relied on DPA Microphones. Vicari deployed DPA’s d:dicate 4011A Cardioid Microphones and d:vote 4099 Instrument Microphones to amplify the large orchestra’s sound from its location under the stage and for the studio pre-records. In all, Vicari used two d:dicate 4011As and seventeen d:vote 4099 microphones for the production.

FBT Speakers Deployed at Bernie Sanders Rally in Colorado

FORT COLLINS, CO – Colorado State University (CSU) hosted a rally for presidential hopeful Bernie Sanders within the college’s 8,745-capacity Moby Arena. To complement the arena’s existing sound system, which provided coverage for those in the stands, Shaped Music Productions set up four FBT EvoMaxX 4a units.  Shaped Music owner Rich Werdes credited the speakers for delivering higher-quality sound than similarly-priced P.A. alternatives. The speakers enhanced the audio for those on the gym’s main floor, which included members of the press.
