Kansas Church Expands with New Facility and Audio-Technica Wireless Solution

PRATT, KS — Builders for Christ, a non-profit that brings volunteers to construct church buildings for needy congregations, helped the 800-member First Southern Baptist Church in Pratt, KS expand with a new church building. Also providing an assist was Brent Handy, designer and sales consultant at Advanced Sound & Communication (Kansas City, MO). Along with much of the expanded church’s AV systems, he helped with a wireless solution that included Audio-Technica’s System 10 PRO Rack-Mount digital wireless system, which works in the 2.4 GHz range.

Ten Yamaha VXC8 Ceiling Speakers, two Yamaha VXS10ST wall mount subwoofers, and one Yamaha MG12XU Mixer were utilized in the small 14-table, ‘L’ shaped restaurant and bar.

For CeeLo Green’s Tour, Art Merriweather Relies on Allen & Heath’s dLive

DETROIT, MI – CeeLo Green recently completed an 11-city “Love Train” tour in support of his Nov. 2015 album release, Heart Blanche. Art Merriweather, CeeLo’s FOH and Monitor Engineer (pictured here) used an Allen & Heath dLive system for control. While smaller in scale than CeeLo’s previous treks – the artist toured with just a sax and flute player, a percussionist and a DJ, instead of a full acoustic orchestra – the simplicity of CeeLo’s stage masked a complex production, with music ranging from hip-hop to jazz. Merriweather’s audio setup included an Allen & Heath dLive S5000 mixer and DM48 MixRack.
