PRATT, KS — Builders for Christ, a non-profit that brings volunteers to construct church buildings for needy congregations, helped the 800-member First Southern Baptist Church in Pratt, KS expand with a new church building. Also providing an assist was Brent Handy, designer and sales consultant at Advanced Sound & Communication (Kansas City, MO). Along with much of the expanded church’s AV systems, he helped with a wireless solution that included Audio-Technica’s System 10 PRO Rack-Mount digital wireless system, which works in the 2.4 GHz range.

PORTLAND, OR – Clarity Media Group (Lake Oswego, OR) recently installed a Yamaha Commercial Installations Solutions (CIS) system at Jo Rotisserie & Bar, a dining establishment/live jazz club in Portland, Oregon. Ten Yamaha VXC8 Ceiling Speakers, two Yamaha VXS10ST wall mount subwoofers, and one Yamaha MG12XU Mixer were utilized in the small 14-table, ‘L’ shaped restaurant and bar.

DETROIT, MI – CeeLo Green recently completed an 11-city “Love Train” tour in support of his Nov. 2015 album release, Heart Blanche. Art Merriweather, CeeLo’s FOH and Monitor Engineer (pictured here) used an Allen & Heath dLive system for control. While smaller in scale than CeeLo’s previous treks – the artist toured with just a sax and flute player, a percussionist and a DJ, instead of a full acoustic orchestra – the simplicity of CeeLo’s stage masked a complex production, with music ranging from hip-hop to jazz. Merriweather’s audio setup included an Allen & Heath dLive S5000 mixer and DM48 MixRack.

ANNAPOLIS JUNCTION, MD –  The U.S. Navy’s oldest and most prominent aircraft carrier installed FiberPlex SATCOM serial data transmission equipment as part of its new Consolidated Afloat Networks and Enterprise Services (CANES) system, which went into service last month.

PORTLAND, OR – Metro Sound & Video, a Milwaukee-area systems design and integration firm, recently established a flexible, low-latency Dante digital audio network from Audinate for the Wisconsin Center. The main Expo Hall, comprised of four very large rooms with a giant concrete floor; a 37,500 three-space ballroom for formal events; and a series of smaller meeting rooms that can be combined for larger crowds as needed is now equipped with a fully operational digital audio network across the entire venue.

SAUGATUCK, MI – Stewart Independent Production of Saugatuck Michigan recently invested in an RCF TTL/TT98+ concert system for hire. The purchase included RCF TT052A H.O. Active 90 degree low-profile front-fills, Active RCF TT22A MKII and TT25A MKII H.O. point-source traps with RD Net onboard and additional Active RCF TTS18-A subwoofers.

THOMASVILLE, GA – S&L Integrated, LLC, based out of Thomasville, Georgia, specified and installed a Powersoft Deva two-way messaging system to been integrated into three city blocks at the heart of downtown Thomasville, Georgia: a classic and historic ‘Downtown, USA’  location that required a comprehensive entertainment, information and messaging solution for its ‘Victorian Christmas’ event that took place in December.  20 Deva units in total were mounted discreetly in trees lining each side of Main Street, positioned approximately 20 yards apart from one another.
