Cornish College Reaches for Mackie

SEATTLE – After working with various PAs for years, each with some level of compromise, tap dance professor Tim Hickey found an ideal solution that worked on all counts for Seattle’s Cornish College of the Arts: Mackie’s portable Reach Professional PA. Hickey has two tap classes with 16 students each. “Tap dancing can get pretty loud,” he notes, “so we need a more powerful system than the ballet, jazz and modern dance classes do. VUE Audiotechnik Debuts al-12 and HS-221 Sub Combo at Bottlerock

NAPA, CA – Bay Area-based Delicate Productions provided full production including staging, lighting, video and audio on all five stages of this year’s Bottlerock. For the Miner Family Winery Stage, Delicate deployed the new VUE Audiotechnik al-12 system for its inaugural run with FOH engineer Sebastien Poux. Over at the Jam Cellars’ stage, the VIP skyboxes were outfitted with VUE Sound via Dante. William “Snoopy” Fuquay of WFA Audio was in charge of the h-8 with Dante setup and ran the sound with Delicate Productions’ networking guru Jacob Choplin.

130 Arrested in Houston Crime Ring Focusing on Trailer Valuables

HOUSTON — Working with other law enforcement agencies, the Houston Police Department has made 80 arrests so far in an investigation into an organized crime ring that focuses on thefts of valuables transported via trailers. As of June 28, charges had been filed against 130 suspects in Houston and surrounding areas. A key break in the case, dubbed “Operation Wheels and Deals,” took place as police were tracking a van and trailer belonging to country music singer Zane Williams that were stolen outside a Houston-area restaurant on May 16, 2015. A GPS tracking device helped authorities pinpoint the missing trailer, and there they discovered motorcycle apparel and accessories that had been reported stolen in another trailer heist.

The Italian amplifier authority saw that this could be adapted to provide its own customers with a custom version as an educational tool, offering specific information about deploying Powersoft products for emergency applications. They were soon in contact with RH Consulting with the result that the Powersoft release has now been made public.
