COLUMBUS, OH – J. Alexander’s restaurant chain location in Columbus, OH recently installed a Bose professional system not only for its background music, but also as part of its dining experience. This approach to creating an immersive music environment is expected to be applied to new J. Alexander’s locations going forward.

WILLIAMSTOWN, MA — For the 13th straight year, Masque Sound made its annual summer trek to Massachusetts’ Berkshire Mountains to deliver a custom audio equipment package for the Williamstown Theatre Festival.

LENOIR, NC – The J.E. Broyhill Civic Center recently updated its sound system with Fulcrum Acoustic’s FL283 Dual 8-inch Subcardioid Line Array Module. Rear low frequency rejection was crucial for its loudspeakers to keep sound from radiating off the proscenium and from bleeding onto the stage. Also, high-output yet compact speakers were required to provide the requisite SPLs and low frequency output without interfering with the auditorium’s sightlines or aesthetics.

ESTES PARK, CO – Sound hit new heights at The YMCA of the Rockies’ Walter G. Reusch Auditorium. Recently, Sight and Sound Technologies replaced the auditorium’s aging sound reinforcement system with Danley Sound Labs loudspeakers and subwoofers.

WAYNE, NJ —Vocational public high school The Passaic County Technical Institute (PCTI) recently added a Yamaha Rivage PM10 Digital Audio Console in its theater, due in part to Washington Professional Systems.

LAS VEGAS — Beauty & Essex, a joint project between TAO Group and chef/restaurateur Chris Santos that opened recently at the Cosmopolitan resort in Las Vegas, features a vintage ambiance and an entrance design that evokes a retail storefront for used goods. The speaker system provided by Anthem Productions, however, did not come from one of Las Vegas’ many pawn shops. Instead, the K-array system includes 10 KP102 Python loudspeakers, eight KK102 Kobra loudspeakers, 18 KMT12P 12” passive subwoofers and 19 KT2C Tornado ceiling-mounted point sources powered by six KA84 and one KA24 amplifiers.

STATEN ISLAND, NY– JD Systems designed and installed the Lost DayClub’s new audio system using weather-resistant speakers from Community. The system needed equipment that would overcome uneven coverage, reduce noise complaints from neighbors, and withstand outdoor weather issues. 


BOSTON – The Boston Convention & Exhibition Center upgraded with an Audinate Dante network to route voice and background music across 45 locations across the more than half million sq. ft. exhibit space.

LOS ANGELES — The 141st Convention of the Audio Engineering Society returns to the Los Angeles Convention Center for four action-packed days of professional audio activity, from Sept. 29 through Oct. 2, 2016. Highlights include an extensive technical program of papers, technical tours, workshops, seminars and, of course, the exhibit hall filled with gear from hundreds of audio manufacturers, with free Exhibits-Plus badges offered to FRONT of HOUSE readers.
