ATK Deploys EAW for ESPY Awards

LOS ANGELES — ATK Audiotek Corp. recently provided an Eastern Acoustic Works (EAW) Adaptive sound reinforcement system for ESPN’s 24th Annual ESPY Awards, held at the Microsoft Theater (formerly the Nokia Theater L.A. Live), in Los Angeles. 

Valencia, CA-based ATK Audiotek has provided sound reinforcement systems and support for the ESPY awards since the athletic award show debuted in 1993. This was their first time out with the Anna system.

Big House Sound Gives Rice Owls Game-Changing Audio

HOUSTON – Austin-based Big House Sound, Inc. recently completed the installation and commissioning of a new audio system at the Rice Owls Football Stadium in Houston. The audio system is part of Rice University’s new sports facility project that includes a 580 sq. ft. video display and broadcast cabling system designed by John Miller at the Technical Design Group.

Eight Years After Iowa Flooding, Hancher Auditorium Opens

IOWA CITY, IA — In 2008, when the Iowa River flooded and destroyed Hancher Auditorium and 12 other buildings at the University of Iowa, the loss to the community was far greater than the physical loss of those structures. Hancher Auditorium was one of the most popular venues for touring groups in the region, and the flood forced the student and traveling groups that normally used the venue to move into nearby facilities. But with the recent grand opening of the new Hancher Auditorium, the University of Iowa and the people of Iowa City once again have a magnetic cultural center to call their own.

Harman Presents New Tech Contributions at AES 2016

NORTHRIDGE, CA—Harman is participating in the upcoming 141st Audio Engineering Society (AES) show with a series of technical contributions Thursday, Sept. 29 to Sunday, Oct. 2.
