Sydney BE Productions Opts for HK Audio

SYDNEY – The network of HK AUDIO sound system users in Australia has grown. In late 2007, BE Productions, a company located in the north of Sydney, bought a 2 x 8 Cohefra Compact system comprising 16 CDR 108 C enclosures, eight CDR 210 C cabinets, and two PR 8 amp racks. This newcomer is the fifth firm on the continent to join the Cohedra user network.

Juanes Performs for Peace Without Borders with Shure

COLOMBIA and ECUADOR  – Thousands of Colombians and Venezuelans attended a free concert, “Peace Without Borders,” on the border between the two countries. Colombia’s own Juanes, a GRAMMY-winning artist and Shure endorser, organized the event to celebrate the end of the diplomatic crisis among Colombia, Venezuela and Ecuador that was held at the Simon Bolivar Bridge, which connects Colombia and Ecuador.

Fame The Musical Stars in Spain with Digico

CADIZ, SPAIN – The Spanish version of Fame – The Musical, or Fama El Musical, recently visited Cádiz in the south west of Spain. The show has toured Spain for over a year and has already seen packed houses in Barcelona and Madrid. London’s Scala Nightclub Dances with Turbosound

LONDON – Scala nightclub is a multi-purpose venue in King’s Cross on the north side of central London. In its current incarnation, the building has four main levels and accommodates events for up to 1,145 people. There are three bars, two dance floors and a stage for live performances. Last year, the owners of Scala decided the sound system in the main area needed an upgrade, so resident sound technician George Gregori contacted LMC Audio Systems to design a system using new Turbosound products that would work with the lively acoustics of the room.

Sydney Festival Gets Sonic Boost from Coda Audio and Meyer Sound

SYDNEY – Sydney closed down several city streets and held an eclectic celebration featuring over 500 artists, such as Brian Wilson, Bjork and Sufjan Stevens. Over a million people enjoyed the sun and rich festivities at outdoor stages, tents and dance floors as well as musical acts and dance troupes in performing arts venues including CarriageWorks and Sydney Opera House.For the 14th year, Sydney-based Coda Audio handled audio and production duties with self-powered loudspeakers from Meyer Sound.
