VIENNA — At the headquarters of the Austrian Lotteries, the Studio 44 venue, originally built for internal use has been put to work for clients such as Ford Motor Company, Coca Cola, BP and Google. A DiGiCo SD7 and two SD8s were recently added to its equipment inventory.

MADRID — The Main Theater and the black-box Theater Configurable in the Teatros del Canal, a performing arts complex designed by Spanish architect Juan Navarro Baldeweg, was equipped with Meyer Sound’s self-powered M1D and M’elodie line array loudspeaker systems.

JIANGBEI CITY, China — The Chongqing Grand Theatre is home to performance spaces that can accommodate 1,850 and 930. L-Acoustics loudspeaker systems supplied by Chinese distributor Rightway Audio have been installed in both the larger and medium-sized theaters.

AMERSFOORT, The Netherlands — Dutch theater De Flint has purchased a Midas PRO6 live audio system from Midas Consoles Benelux after its sound technicians agreed to go with the Midas digital platform based on sonic performance and value for the Euro.

BUDAPEST, Hungary —Wynton Marsalis and his 15-piece band, the Lincoln Center Jazz Orchestra, performed in Budapest before a crowd of 1,750 at the Budapest Congress & World Trade Center with a modest complement of Danley loudspeakers and subwoofers.

READING, U.K. and LEEDS, U.K. — Adlib Audio’s festival season continued at Reading and Leeds, where the company once again supplied full audio production, including over 90 JBL VerTec 4889 elements, and crew for the Radio 1/NME stage at the 2009 events. Identical systems were supplied to both Reading and Leeds sites.

LONDON. — 5 Star Cases Ltd. helped celebrate the making of the 500th SD8 digital console by donating the flightcase to DiGiCo for a special occasion honoring the memory of two sound engineers, John Roden and Jim Douglas.

CARDIFF, U.K. — Part of Wales’ University of Glamorgan, the Cardiff School of Creative & Cultural Industries’ division of Music and Sound is using EAW JFL Series units to educate music and technology students on live sound reproduction and professional audio equipment application. A.C. Entertainment Technologies supplied the system. The gear includes four EAW JFL210 Compact Line Array Modules and four EAW JFL118 Subwoofers.
