FRANKFURT, Germany – The 2010 Frankfurt Pro Light + Sound show marked the launch of Adamson's Eklipsa series of horizontal arrays and the expansion of the company's M-Series family of floor monitors.

FRANKFURT, Germany – L-Acoustics' product introductions at Prolight + Sound 2010 in Frankfurt included its new KARA modular line source system, the SB18 high-power compact subwoofer, and the LA-AES3, an AES/EBU input card that serves as an optional extensions for LA4 and LA8 amplified controllers. L-Acoustics also announced at the show that it has joined the Crestron Integrated Partner Program (I2P).

AMSTERDAM – The Melkweg music and arts center has purchased a Soundcraft Vi4 from Dutch distributors Audio XL. The technology company's live sound manager, Jeroen van Keeken, said head technician Richard Balk chose the console for the venue's 700-capacity Oude Zaal (Old Room) following extensive evaluation.

LAS VEGAS – It's not unknown for the word "grueling" to be used with regard to tours, but The Killers concluding a year of live dates by playing shows on three separate continents in just five days. No fewer than six DiGiCo consoles were required.

FRANKFURT, Germany – At ProLight+ Sound/Musikmesse, Westone Music Products announced a new removable cable option with the Westone UM2 and UM3X releasing in May 2010. The new development will give users the quick option of replacing cables as necessary.

FRANKFURT, Germany – Allen & Heath and Audinate announced at Prolight+ Sound that they are collaborating to introduce Dante networking modules for the iLive digital mixing series. Dante will be incorporated into Allen & Heath's range of audio networking plug in cards, which slot into the iDR MixRacks and allow iLive to interface with a variety of common audio interface and networking standards. Separately, Link announced a license agreement with Audinate to implement Dante in its DGlink Stage Box system.

FRANKFURT, Germany – TC-Helicon announced the latest 1.2 firmware upgrade for its VoiceLive2 signal processor for vocalists. Features include new Rhythmic effects, Dual Mono output option and dedicated Tap Tempo control using the Delay footswitch.

NILES, IL – Shure Inc. extended its Beta line of microphones with the side-address, supercardioid Beta 27. The Beta 27, the first side-address, supercardioid condenser microphone designed for professional sound reinforcement, was developed in response to audio engineers' desire for a condenser mic that offers better isolation of the sound source.

COLOGNE, Germany – System designers hartmann+mathias partnerschaft, acoustic consultants Peutz and installers Light Tec Medientechnik have upgraded the auditorium of Cologne University with a new audio system featuring four Renkus-Heinz Iconyx IC 24 digitally steerable array loudspeakers.
