APULIA, Italy – dB Technologies' new DVA T12 line array was used at the 16-evening Notte Della Taranta Festival, a folk festival in its 14th year. The event attracts 230,000 visitors to various cities in the Apulia Region of Southern Italy.

BENIDORM, Spain – At the three-day, three-stage Low Cost Festival, more than 50 bands performed, including Ok Go, Crystal Castles, Eli ‘Paperboy' Reed, FM Belfast, Sexy Sadie, Sidonie, Dorian, and MIKA. Stage number 2 used RCF's TT+ loudspeaker system, including 18 TTL55-A, nine TTS56-A, eight TTS28-A and six TTS26-A.

ZURICH, Switzerland – The Zurich Opera House's productions of La Traviata, The Pearl Fishers and The Silken Ladder are getting an assist from a Lawo mc²66 console.

CASTELLANA GROTTE, Italy – Casa Musicale Luisi provided Meyer Sound MM-4XP and UPM-1P loudspeakers for Hell in a Cave, which depicts Dante's Inferno in the well-known grottos here. Giovanni Bugari of Grisby Music, Meyer Sound's Italian distributor, designed the system, and Giuseppe Saponari, president of Offician Musicale, was the sound designer for the six-zone production.

QATAR – Soliflex consultant Fredrik Setterberg equipped digitally-steerable IC Live systems for two 25,000-capacity soccer stadiums in Qatar. Soliflex and Al-Tamas provided each of the the two open-air venues with 16 IC-Live arrays and two subwoofers connected via RHAON. A MediaMatrix NION NX handles distribution of the Yahama-mixed audio to the system's 11 zones. All the loudspeaker processing is performed with RHAON.

BAD KISSINGEN, Germany – L-Acoustics provider Soundhouse has installed a KIVA WST modular line source system for the 1,160-capacity Max Littmann Saal concert hall. It's a left/right system of eight KIVA and two KILO low-frequency extension units per side, driven by LA8 amplified controllers.

RIYADH, Saudi Arabia – For the newly-constructed Princess Noura bint Abdul Rahman University for Women, CAP France BAT provided Allen & Heath mixing consoles. The two larger theaters – seating 2,800 and 1,400 – use four iDR-48 MixRacks and four iLive-T112 control surfaces to manage both FOH and monitors. A Black Box rehearsal theater is equipped with an iDR-32 MixRack with an iLive-T80 control surface.

RIO DE JANEIRO – For Shakira's "The Sun Comes Out" world touring, in support of her latest recordings, She Wolf and Sale el Sol, the artist and her musicians have been using Sennheiser's wireless microphones, wireless personal monitoring systems and wireless instrument systems.

SINGAPORE – The Marina Bay Sands features a light and water spectacle dubbed "Wonder Full" that is a 360-degree sensory experience choreographed to an original score. For the attraction's audio needs, an Electro-Voice large-format line array system has been installed.

DOHA, Qatar – For the production of two television shows, Desert Heroes and Serious Hobbies, British sound mixer Baldev "Bal" Rayat and his Lectrosonics wireless equipment were both put to the test. Temperatures in the desert reached 120 degrees F.

SYDNEY – Australian AV provider Scene Change recently purchased a Soundcraft Si1 console, making its choice only after every member of the company's senior team got a chance to test-drive the console. Vicken Hekimian, Scene Change's Sydney director, noted the logic of including those using the gear in on the purchase decision. "The quality of the equipment motivates the crew to work harder to make our clients happy, which is really important."
