Concept Solutions Deploys L-Acoustics Gear for Austria’s Pink Ribbon Night

VIENNA – Concept Solutions provided its L-Acoustics KARA WST modular line source system and other gear for the annual Pink Ribbon Night. The event, a fundraiser for efforts to fight breast cancer, was held at Ebreichsdorf's Magna Racino, which includes a racetrack, casino and multi-purpose hall. Raphael Rupprecht, who is Concept Solutions' technical director/sound, served as system and FOH engineer for the event.

Kiev’s Olympic Stadium Opens with Assist from Harman Audio Gear

KIEV – The Olympic Stadium opened here Oct. 8 with a speech by Ukraine president Viktor Yanukovych, a performance by Shakira and audio support from Kiev-based Komora, which provided JBL VerTec speakers, Crown amplifiers and Soundcraft Vi4 digital live sound consoles. Komora's Harman gear played a supporting role to the sound reinforcement provided by Fotis Sound and Clair Global, with JBL VT4889 line arrays positioned to cover side seating areas.

Espoo Cultural Centre’s Tapiola Hall Upgrades with Meyer Sound M’elodie Gear

ESPOO, Finland – The 800-seat Tapiola Hall at Espoo Cultural Centre gets used for classical orchestras, electric bands, dance performances and opera productions along with corporate events and conferences. As such, the venue required a system that was extremely versatile. Meyer Sound dealer Studiotec provided a M'elodie line array system for the venue.

Pope’s Visit to Germany Supported by E-V Gear

BERLIN – Pope Benedict XV1's recent visit to his native Germany included a Mass for 61,000 followers in the Olympic Stadium. The 56,000-square-meter venue already has a sound system with 171 Electro-Voice XLC enclosures installed. Extra gear provided for the occasion included 104 XLD181, 40 X-Line Xvls and Xvlts (main in- and out-hangs), along with 60 XLE181 enclosures on a delay line, all powered by Electro-Voice amplifiers.

Danish Castle Concert Gets Assist from L-Acoustics KARA

LEJRE, Denmark – Moto Rental has provided sound reinforcement equipment for the annual Ledreborg Castle Concert for nearly 20 years, and has used L-Acoustics systems for the event since 1999. FOH engineer Henrik Bonne selected Moto's new KARA WST line source system with SB18 subwoofers. The Danish National Chamber Orchestra hosts the event with various guest performers.

BENIDORM, Spain – At the three-day, three-stage Low Cost Festival, more than 50 bands performed, including Ok Go, Crystal Castles, Eli ‘Paperboy' Reed, FM Belfast, Sexy Sadie, Sidonie, Dorian, and MIKA. Stage number 2 used RCF's TT+ loudspeaker system, including 18 TTL55-A, nine TTS56-A, eight TTS28-A and six TTS26-A.
