dBTechnologies Sells 20,000th DVA T4

SANTIAGO, Chile — dBTechnologies has sold its 20,000th DVA T4 unit since launching the product five years ago. dBTechnologies presented Audiomusica, the company’s Chilean representative, based here, with a Golden DVA T4 award, honoring the rep firm not just for its link to the milestone unit but also for its overall sales success. The commemorative DVA T4 unit has the serial number 20,000 imprinted upon it.

Edinburgh Lighting & Sound School Using Allen & Heath Mixers

EDINBURGH, Scotland — Edinburgh Lighting & Sound School is using Allen & Heath’s MixWizard3 16:2 as the main training console for its new Production and Technology course, and an iLive digital mixing system was used for training purposes on one of the modules. First year students on the year-long course have just graduated, and all fifteen graduates have received job offers, including one student who has been employed by Autograph Sound, and is currently working on Damon Albarn’s new Dr Dee opera.

Vive Latino Relies on Shure Wireless Mics, Monitors

Story Sound Putting Newly-Acquired JBL VTX Line Arrays to Work

EINDHOVEN, The Netherlands — Story Sound BV, based here and led by Michael Story, is an early adopter of Harman’s JBL VTX line array series. The company recently purchased 24 V25 line array elements and 26 S28 arrayable subwoofers, plus a variety of Crown I-Tech HD amplifiers. This is largely to accommodate the increasing amount of theater work the company is now supporting with sound design and reinforcement.
