MANCHESTER, U.K. — Dry Live, a multi-use venue within the recently refurbished Dry Bar here, features a sound system designed by Jack Jennings of local audio specialists Masons. The Dry Bar, a landmark of the city’s Northern Quarter since 1989, recently underwent an interior upgrade in the bar and its newly refurbished basement music venue Dry Live. Tasked with equipping Dry Live, a Martin Audio Blackline H3H+ horn-loaded solution was selected.

Tai O Heritage Hotel Restaurant Equipped with Symetrix Jupiter Processor

HONG KONG — Sound Classy Holding Limited specified a sound system for Tai O Lookout, a restaurant built into a 100-year-old former police station on Lantau Island in Hong Kong. The new system uses a Symetrix Jupiter 8 turnkey signal processor and the Symetrix ARC-2e user interface. Sound Classy works directly with Sanecore Audio Ltd, Symetrix’ distributor in Hong Kong.

Palm Expo 2012 Surpasses Expectations

BEIJING, China — Organizers of the Palm Expo, an annual exhibition devoted to pro audio, lighting and musical instruments, noted that its most recent show, staged at the New China International Exhibition Centre (NCIEC) May 24-27, was among the largest yet, with more than 1,700 exhibiting companies and brands from 35 countries in 10 halls occupying a total 110,000 square meters of floorspace. Nearly 50,000 attended the event, which is jointly organized by China Entertainment Technology Association, IIR Exhibitions and China Technology Market Management & Promotion Centre.
