STAVANGER, Norway — The Stavanger Symphony Orchestra has spent the past 14 years wishing for a new home that it could truly call its own. In September, that finally became a reality with the opening of the NOK1.225bn (€165.2m) Stavanger Concert Hall. It features two halls, with DiGiCo mixing consoles chosen for mixing the amplified sound in both.

Weimar Deutsches Nationaltheater Goes Digital with Studer Vista 8, TiMax2 SoundHub

WEIMAR, Germany — The Deutsches Nationaltheater here has complemented its purchase of a new Studer Vista 8 console with a TiMax2 SoundHub-R32 system matrix and playback server, replacing an old analog Studer and legacy TiMax Classic matrix which had been in daily use for the past 10 years.  The new TiMax SoundHub system was purchased from distributor Pro Audio Technik following on-site demos by the company’s TiMax technical sales specialist Matthias Ziegenberger.

Rivalta Cafe Equipped with K-array System

FLORENCE, Italy — Omikron Sound e Light, based here, installed a K-array audio system for the recently refurbished Rivalta Café, a gathering spot offering food, drink and music along the banks of the River Arno. The new system includes 12 Kobra KK50vb speakers, four KL12 subwoofers, two KT20 speakers and four KA7-7 amplifiers.
