Germany-Based Werretalhalle Installs Adamson Gear

LOHNE, Germany — Werretalhalle, a venue here that seats 250 and has a capacity for 450 without seating in place, recently installed Adamson gear including Point 15s (L-R) and Point 12 speakers (center-fill), along with Point 8s (near-fill) and Point 215s for low-end support. The gear was first used for a show featuring a Dire Straits tribute band, “Dire Strats” (setup pictured here).

Nobel Peace Prize Concert Makes Use of Midas Consoles

OSLO, Norway — For the 2012 Nobel Peace Prize Concert, held here, AVAB CAC deployed two Midas XL8s at FOH. One FOH console was dedicated to the needs of the 55-piece Norwegian Radio Orchestra. The second took care of the in-house band and international performers including Kylie Minogue, Jennifer Hudson and Seal. In addition, four Midas PRO9s were used as monitor consoles.

Bugle Boy Musical Tours U.K. with Allen & Heath iLive

LONDON — An Allen & Heath iLive digital mixing system is currently on a national tour of the U.K. with the musical, Bugle Boy, which traces the life, career and mysterious disappearance of the late bandleader and composer Glenn Miller. The system is based around an iLive-T112 Control Surface and an iDR-48 MixRack fitted with a MADI network card.

Orbital Sound Supplies Yamaha CL5 Consoles, Other New Gear for U.K. Pantomime Shows

LONDON — All of Orbital Sound’s recently acquired Yamaha CL5 consoles were out supporting close to 30 pantomime productions in the U.K. in Dec. 2012 and early January 2013. The soundco has also provided gear from Shure, d&b audiotechnik. Productions ranged from First Family Entertainment’s Peter Pan at the Manchester Opera House to Qdos Entertainment’s Robinson Crusoe and the Caribbean Pirates at the Birmingham Hippodrome.
