CORNWALL, UK – An Allen & Heath iLive system with 18 ME-1 personal mixers were employed for a special 21st anniversary show of UK band, Tindersticks.  Part of a European summer tour, the band performed a special set at the Blue Balls Festival in Lucern, Switzerland, where a 17 piece string section played alongside the regular six piece band.

Fohhn Focus Arrays Used for Open-Air Production at Einsiedeln Abbey

EINSIEDELN, Switzerland – Fohhn Audio’s new Focus Modular line array systems with beam steering are making their live debut at the large-scale, open-air theatre production of Das große Welttheater (The Great World Theatre) being staged at Einsiedeln Abbey here. The play, by Spanish writer Calderon de la Barca, has been performed on the abbey square of the Benedictine monastery at various intervals since 1924. In recent years it has been re-interpreted to relate to modern times.

Hibino Sound Division Buys First Martin Audio MLA System

OSAKA, Japan – The Hibino Corporation, one of the biggest entertainment production companies in Japan, has purchased Martin Audio’s Multi-cellular Loudspeaker Array (MLA) system. The purchase includes four MLA System 36 rigs plus an additional four MLD downfill and four MLX subwoofers. This gives them a combined inventory of 92 MLA, 8 MLD, and 52 MLX enclosures. The new system promises to cover venues like Nagai Stadium in Osaka (pictured here) without requiring the use of delays.
