CORNWALL, U.K. – For Frank Ocean’s recent European tour, engineer Dave McDonald supported the singer’s shows using an Allen & Heath iLive digital system at FOH. The setup included an iLive-112 control surface with 8 in, 24 out, RAB2 ACE, connected to a modular iDR10 MixRack with 56 in, 24 out, RAB2 ACE and Dante. The crew also used an analog split between the iLive and monitor console.

LONDON – Like a “Fine Studio Monitor” for Michael Bublé’s 10 consecutive sellouts at London’s O2 arena, FOH engineer Craig Doubet mixed the shows for 16,000 fans per night on a powerful Meyer Sound LEO linear large-scale sound reinforcement system provided by Montreal-based Solotech.

BADEN, Austria – TON Eichinger Professional Sound Systems provided a wireless system upgrade at the Bühne Baden theatre here. The sales and rental provider equipped the venue with Digital Hybrid Wireless technology from Rio Rancho, NM-based Lectrosonics.

QUEENSLAND, Australia – Salt House is a unique dining, bar, and entertainment venue situated at Marina Point here. Fintan Rafferty and Luis Garozzo, owners and managers of Salt House recently decided to replace the existing sound system in the main Bar and Outdoor Deck Bar. It was at this stage that the experience of Mick Evans from Talk to the Mac was enlisted. Mick worked with Syntec International, K-array’s distributor in Australia and New Zealand to come up with a K-array solution.

WEE WAA, Australia – To celebrate the release of their latest album, Random Access Memories, Daft Punk planned a performance at a venerable but somewhat obscure three-day farming event in this remote cotton-growing community situated some 350 miles from Sydney. To support the event, Norwest Productions provided the band with an Adamson Energia E15 system. Each of the four arrays consisted of eight Energia E15s with six T21 subwoofers.
