LIVERPOOL, UK  – For the latest UK leg of Ellie Goulding’s Halcyon Days tour, engineers are Oz Bagnall (FOH) and James Neale (Monitors) relied once again on gear provided by Adlib, based here. The gear supporting the tour for the UK-based singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist included a Coda Audio sound system.    Bagnall specified the system, which once again proved to be well suited to the wide variety of theatre and town hall venues on the tour.

LOMBARDIA, Italy – Cadac and Outline co-hosted a four-day international distributor event held at the Pala Banco di Brecia here in late September. The two companies presented a rolling schedule of product demos, hands-on demos and workshops. More than 100 industry professionals attended.

LONDON – For Leona Lewis’ second headlining concert tour, The Glassheart Tour, which wrapped up this summer, FOH engineer Dave Wooster credited Sennheiser’s 9000 series digital wireless systems, Neumann AES42 digital wired microphones and K-array loudspeakers for meeting the challenge of ensuring optimized sound within a wide array of venues.

ALLEROED, Denmark ― More than 120 pro audio distributors, dealers and opinion leaders from around the world traveled to Denmark recenlty for DPA Microphones’ Partner Conference. The three day event brought guests through meetings and seminars in Copenhagen and at DPA’s headquarters in Allerød as well as on a tour of DPA’s production facility in Asnæs.

NOTTINGHAM, U.K. ― British indie rock band Tindersticks is marking its 21st Anniversary with a 12 stop European tour that begins in Hérouville-Saint-Clair, France on October 19. Among the key items of equipment at each show will be two DPA Microphones d:vote 4099 Instrument Microphones, which are being used on the band’s cello and double bass.

VANCOUVER, BC – Sound engineer Ben Hammond opted for Allen & Heath’s GLD and iLive digital systems to manage FOH and monitors for the British heavy metal band, Saxon. The band recently completed a month-long tour of North America, supported by American rock band, Fozzy. A GLD-80 mixer was at FOH, accompanied by an AR2412 rack to manage I/O, such as L+R, Sub, Fills. The mixer takes inputs via Dante from the iLive monitor system, which included an iLive-T112 surface and iDR-48 MixRack.

SPLIT, Croatia – For the 2013 Ultra Europe Festival, held at Poljud Stadium here July 12-13 and on Hvar Island July 14, Zagreb-based Promo Logistika provided 72 RCF TTL55-A line array elements and 42 TTS56 subs for the top international DJs performing on the main stage. The event is affiliated with the annual Ultra Music Festival in Miami.

CORNWALL, UK — Allen & Heath has launched a training and certification program for digital consoles in Asia. Asian distribution agent, Global Market Management, has put in place an ongoing training certification tour for the GLD and iLive digital systems across the region.

SAN PIERO, ITALY — K-array hosted its annual global distribution meeting on October 2nd and 3rd at their company’s Head Quarters in San Piero a Sieve.  The meeting pulled together the Italian brand’s partners from the four corners of the globe as management discussed the company’s milestones of the past year and the strategy for the future.

NILES, IL — The world’s top eight football teams met in Brazil for the FIFA Confederations Cup, the event’s technology team knew they’d need a wireless microphone system that offered rock-solid reliability for the matches, which were all broadcast live to a global audience. To ensure a flawless production, the team looked to Shure’s Axient Wireless Management Network for matches in Brasilia, Belo Horizonte and the championship game between Spain and Brazil at Estádio do Maracanã in Rio de Janeiro.

QINGDAO, China — For Pilot Record’s two-day Inter City Music Festival, staged at the Golden Sands Beach here recently, Real Music Acoustics & Lighting Technology Co. Ltd. supplied an Energia E15 line array system. Twelve E15 line array enclosures per side were hung L-R. Under each array were a stack of six T21 subwoofers sandwiched between double stacks on each side – 10 subs per side..

NAEBA, Japan – Fuji Rock Festival, held July 26-28 at this resort area in the mountains an hour west of Tokyo, is one of the island nation’s largest summer music events. This year, the White Stage was equipped with an Outline large-format line-source rig that included 24 GTO elements, 2 GTO-DF’s, and 18 ground-installed DBS 18-2 subwoofers.
