Brit Row Supports Young Voices Tour with Turbosound Flashline Gear

LONDON — Britannia Row Productions once again chose Turbosound’s Flashline line array speaker system in January this year for the annual tour of Young Voices, which featured a full band and a choir of several thousand primary school pupils performing  at major arenas throughout the U.K. The setup included Flashline TFS-900H, Flex Array and TQ-440SP enclosures and TFS-900L subwoofers.

Eternity Playhouse, the new home for the Darlington Theatre Company, is housed within the renovated Burton Street Tabernacle. The theatre company opted to install gear from JBL’s VP (Venue Performance) Series to optimize the sound within the space. People who already work as live sound technicians and do not require a comprehensive training program are able to book individual topics as one-day sessions from Britannia Row Productions Training’s 12-week Live Sound Technology course. LONDON — LMC Audio Systems Ltd. and production company DB Audio recently provided a pair of Midas PRO6 digital mixing consoles for the Electric Ballroom venue here, the site for the first in a series of non-publicized performances by Prince (the artist, not Harry and William). The console was chosen for sound quality, but its flexibility also proved advantageous – it easily accommodated a request by Prince’s sound engineer to have all monitors, in-ears and FOH controlled by a single console at FOH.

Prolight + Sound 2014 Finishes Strong

FRANKFURT, Germany — The 2014 edition of Prolight + Sound finished strong after four days on March 15, with 897 exhibitors from 42 countries on par with stats from the 2013 event (901 from 41 counties) despite the 2014 event’s month-earlier time frame. Combined with Musikmesse, there were a total 2,242 exhibitors from 57 countries, with a total 110,000 visitors from 142 countries attending the March 12-15 event.
