LONDON — The Serpentine Gallery commissioned Zaha Hadid Architects to create a second space — the Sackler Gallery, which features Zaha Hadid’s characteristic curvaceous white roof. Jake Miller from RG Jones met the challenge of meeting the objectives for “full-range sound — bass response below 100Hz — without being obtrusive to the eye” by installing K-array’s compact KZ12 and KKS50 components.

German Theater Installs Salzbrenner Stagetec Mediagroup Stage Management System

ERLANGEN, Germany — The Markgrafentheater here has installed a stage management system from the Salzbrenner Stagetec Mediagroup as part of a recent equipment upgrade. New components include a PerformanCeTRL controller and a DELEC CS 1624 intercom matrix from the company’s oratis compact range. The systems were installed within three months. They are currently being used to support the Bayerische Theatertage festival, which runs from May 16-31.

CRC Mega Church in Pretoria Using DiGiCo Consoles

PRETORIA, South Africa — For a new 6,500-seat CRC Christian Church here, Pastor AT Boshoff and his team turned to an engineer in the U.S., Armando Fullwood of Waves, for audio console advice. They followed is recommendation and are now using DiGiCo consoles provided by local distributor Tadco, including an SD Ten at FOH and a pair of SD8s — one at monitors and the other for the church’s broadcast studio.

d&b audiotechnik’s Gert Sanner Visits with Staff of Ansata CS Pvt Ltd, New Distributor for India

MUMBAI, India — Ansata CS Pvt Ltd founder Leslie J Lean noted that the company, which was named a distributor of d&b audiotechnik’s products at Prolight+Sound in March, had briefed its staff and trained three engineers to support the brand with its seven offices throughout the subcontinent. As an extra measure “to reach out to our clients and end users as quickly as possible,” Lean said, the two companies arranged for d&b’s Gert Sanner to travel to each regional office.
