New models in Peavey Electronics’ PV line of non-powered mixers include the PV 6, PV 6 BT, PV 10 BT and PV 14 BT consoles. All feature solid construction, reference-quality pre-amps with 0.0007% THD, direct outputs for recording, stereo channels, Bluetooth capability, digital effects, compression, 3-band channel EQ and streaming USB out. Additionally, the PV 10 and PV 14 BT offers an LCD display, USB-A MP3 playback, high-pass filters and Kosmos-C™ bass and treble enhancement. A 5-year warranty is standard.

Neutrik updates and improves its line of multimedia chassis connectors and cable assemblies. Chassis connectors in nickel or black finish fit into Neutrik’s standard D size cutout. They are available for HDMI 1.x, USB 2.0 (with reversible A-to-B inserts), FireWire 400 and D-Sub (9-/15-pin) connectors. All are feed-through designs, making integration literally a snap. For HDMI 1.x and USB 2.0, Neutrik’s rugged, pre-terminated cable assemblies feature outer shells with IP65 water and dust protection when mated to the Neutrik chassis connectors. NTi Audio Expands XL2 Functions

Firmware v2.60 or higher for NTi Audio’s XL2 handheld analyzer allows the spectral analysis of audio signals in dBu, dBV and volts. A new Spectral Limits Option extends the analyzer to 1/12-octave resolution, while the XL2 Remote Measurement Option lets users integrate XL2 monitoring/control into PC-automated test sequences. Frequency spectrum analysis in dBu , dBV or volts is available with the standard XL2 instrument in octave, third-octave and linear FFT resolutions and the unit automatically switches to dBSPL for sound level metering when an NTi measurement mic is connected. All measurements can be stored as ASCII data for later analysis with spreadsheet programs on Mac or PC.
