Martin Audio’s Wavefront Precision Series are multipurpose line arrays that are being introduced at InfoComm 2017 to bring the company’s sound, coverage and control to a broader range of users. The series includes dual-10 WPC and dual 6.5-inch WPM, which incorporate the new external iKON multi-channel amps and automated DISPLAY software. The series also includes the new SX118 and SX218 (single- and double-18) subwoofers. And the XE units are new coaxial 12- and 15-inch low-profile wedges, designed to be partnered with the new iKON 4-channel amplifier for up to 143 dB SPLs.

Designed for advanced live audio production or broadcast applications, Lawo’s new mc2 96 Grand Audio Production Console is available in frame sizes with 24 to 200 faders and offers native support of all relevant standards — SMPTE 2110, AES67, Ravenna and Dante. The mc2 96 has 21.5″ full-HD touch screens as well as multiple TFTs in channel strips and touch-sensitive color-coded encoders, providing fast, user-friendly operation. In addition to standard channel labeling via channel numbers, individual text labels and static pictures or icons, the mc2 96 can display real-time video thumbnails right at the fader’s mini TFTs. Also standard is plug-and-play interfacing to Lawo DALLIS modular stageboxes, A-line interfaces and NOVA central routers. The mc2 96 surface includes local I/Os with 16 Lawo-grade mic/line inputs, 16 line outs, 8 AES-3 inputs/outputs, 8 GPIOs and a local MADI port.

Lectrosonics Duet Digital IEM System with Dante

Available Q3 2017, Lectrosonics’ new Duet digital wireless IEM system consists of the M2T dual-stereo half-rack transmitter and M2R diversity belt pack receiver in the 470-608 MHz UHF range. The M2T houses two independent stereo transmitters, for up to four stereo or dual-mono transmissions in a single rack space. Audio inputs can be individually configured to be analog or Dante compatible. Dual RJ-45 ports accept Dante audio inputs and can cascade the digital stream to additional units via Cat-6 cables. An additional RJ-45 jack provides an Ethernet connection for programming and control via Wireless Designer software. The M2R bodypack receiver employs advanced antenna diversity switching during digital packet headers for seamless audio.

LAS VEGAS—Shure debuted its Axient Digital Wireless System at the 2017 NAB Show in Las Vegas. According to Product Manager Michael Johns, the system includes unique designs such as a frequency diversity handheld microphone (ADX2FD), and a micro-bodypack with a self-tuning internal antenna (ADX1M). The AD Series will be available in late summer 2017, and the ADX Series will be available in early 2018.
