ORLANDO – Furman featured its new BlueBOLT CV-2 at the Furman-Gefen Booth #4955 at InfoComm 2017. The new interface upgrades IP control to enable energy management features in installations not connected to the cloud.

The firmware version 5.1.23 of Shure’s Microflex Wireless system conferencing microphones is officially available. This update includes High Density mode, enabling users to operate twice as many microphones simultaneously. In High Density mode, the maximum channel count for the U.S., Canada, Latin America, Mexico, and most of South America will increase from 40 to 80, while Europe, The Middle East, and parts of Asia will increase from 80 to 160 channels.

Shure has extended its line of MX395 Microflex Low Profile Boundary Microphones. With this latest extension, users now have the option of choosing any mic color (white, aluminum, or black) and any polar pattern (cardioid, omnidirectional, or bidirectional), with or without an integral bi-color LED light ring. MX395 is the ideal table microphone for situations where minimal presence is of high priority.

Making its USA debut this week at InfoComm, the new L-Acoustics Syva system features six MF and three HF drivers in a J-shaped progressive curvature format. The arrangement produces a 140 x 26 (+5/-21) degree directivity optimized for wide coverage and 115 feet of throw. It can be paired with the dual-12 Syva Low sub or single-12 Syva Sub infra extension to achieve 142 dB max SPLs and bandwidth down to 40 Hz. Syva can be wall- or pole-mounted, flown or used alone with its baseplate. One LA4X amplified controller can drive up to four Syva enclosures.

Introducing the Earthworks CTF tabletop gooseneck microphones with integrated base designed for conferencing and speech applications. This integrated solution provides the flexibility of temporarily placing the microphone on a table for ad hoc meeting spaces or permanently affixing it to a surface.

QSC added column surface-mount loudspeakers to its AcousticDesign (AD) Series, and will debut them at InfoComm 2017.

Bose Professional is introducing the new MB210 compact subwoofer, designed for background/foreground music and small sound-reinforcement systems that require low-frequency extension down to 37 Hz. The MB210 subwoofer features two 10-inch high-excursion woofers, derived from the award-winning Bose Professional F1 portable powered subwoofer, in a compact Baltic-birch plywood enclosure optimized for fixed-installations. Featuring outstanding performance-to-size ratio, the MB210 is designed to complement Bose Professional FreeSpace®, Panaray®, and RoomMatch® Utility loudspeaker models with additional bass impact.

The self-powered Panaray MSA12X features a slim, unobtrusive acoustic design with 12 full-range 2.25″ transducers (with 75 Hz to 14 kHz response) in a columnar line array configuration, to provide consistent levels with vocal intelligibility and full-range music reinforcement in acoustically challenging spaces. Its 12 internal power amps (50 watts/channel; total 600 watts) and onboard DSP to allow digital control and beam steering of array vertical coverage patterns. Proprietary Articulated Array configuration allows wide, 160-degree horizontal coverage. Independent level and EQ control is supported for two separate beams per array, and onboard memory stores up to 10 user-selectable presets. Inputs are both Dante and line-level analog input.

QSC introduced Version 3.0 for its TouchMix-8 and -16 Series and Version 1.2 for TouchMix-30 Pro. The updated firmware provides capabilities for users of small format mixing consoles.

Since its original release, the Mirizio Microphone mount, designed to simplify microphone mounting in grand pianos with the lid closed, has been updated with a few changes. The company announced that, with the V3 version, all parts that touch the instrument are coated with felt, “because rental houses often frown on clamps or tape that can mar the harp of the piano,” according to the company. In addition, all aluminum parts are anodized black and etched with the name and logo for a timeless finish. The plate screws are shorter so they don’t protrude, and the company also offers a new storage case option.
