Meyer Sound VLFC Very Low Frequency Control Element

Meyer Sound VLFC Very Low Frequency Control Element

Meyer Sound introduced the most recent addition to its LEO Family of line array systems, the VLFC very low frequency control element. VLFC is the first large-scale loudspeaker system specifically engineered to create visceral impact at frequencies below the threshold of hearing. By focusing energy into a narrow band between 30 Hz and 13 Hz, VLFC is uniquely capable of generating extreme variations in air pressure that are sensed by the entire body as compression waves while those frequencies at the upper end of its range are perceived as thunderous bass sound.

Whirlwind Power Link PL2 Stringers with Power Management

Whirlwind Power Link PL2 Stringers with Power Management

Whirlwind has added its new UL-listed ROK Remote Outlet Kontroller technology to its line of rugged Power Link PL2 Stringers, which distribute multiple circuits of AC power to multiple locations. Now you can turn power on and off for remotely located equipment that consumes power even while not in use. This is ideal for controlling power to lighting fixtures, powered loudspeakers, projectors, video displays, etc. ROK1 switches are used for single-phase 120 VAC; ROK2 is used for switching single-phase 240 VAC or two legs of 208 VAC three-phase. Both devices are rated for switching 20-amp AC branch circuits; both control six circuits per box.

JBL VTX A12W Loudspeaker

JBL VTX A12W Loudspeaker

Featuring wide 120-degree dispersion, JBL’s VTX A12W expands the VTX A Series family. A new HF section combines the HF phase plug and waveguide into one part, for reduced distortion. The Radiation Boundary Integrator sums four 5.5-inch cone mids into the HF waveguide, while a 12-inch neodymium woofer has a dual-voice coil/dual-magnet design. For fast deployment, arrays are stacked four per vertical transporter cart in a 10-degree collapsed position. An internal locking mechanism makes it easy to set arrays from 0.25 to 10 degrees using selector pins. Enclosures can be finished in a variety of colors for fixed installs.
