The Protea 4.8SP four-input/eight-output and Protea 3.6SP three-input/six-output 1RU digital signal processors offer an intuitive user interface plus PC control software and comprehensive DSP, including crossover, equalization, delay and limiter functions.

Middle Atlantic Products’ Vertical Rackmount System (VRS) holds up to seven satellite or cable boxes vertically. The VRS mounting system enables components to be clamped in vertical position, held in place by adjustable card slides on the bottom shelf.

Adamson’s Point Series includes five new models complete with EASE Data; the Point 8, Point 12 and Point 15 two-way enclosures, with companion single and double 15” subwoofers; the Point115 Sub and Point 215 Sub.

Featuring the ability to operate up to 100 channels simultaneously, the digital audio transmission system also includes an infrared link between receiver and transmitter for quick system setup. The 1U DSR 700 digital receiver features encryption and 155 MHz tuning range.

The Aero 12A incorporates a new D.A.S. 12LN4C, 12” low frequency transducer with a 3” voice coil and neodymium magnet motor assembly. Highs are handled by the new M-75N neodymium compression driver featuring a pure titanium diaphragm and a 75 mm copper-clad, aluminum flat-wire voice coil.

A 120° nearfield dispersion and a 60° farfield dispersion at the same time from the same horn? That is what KS Audio is claiming to have achieved with the new CPA 12, a self-powered two-way for use on small to medium sized gigs and installs.

Wireworks SPEN and SPE5 loudspeaker cables are designed specifically for use with Meyer Sound’s MM-4 and MM-4XP speakers respectively. SPEN cords can also be employed anytime small, secure speaker cords are required. SPEN cords are designed for use with Meyer Sound’s MM-4 speakers and use 2-pole EN3 water-resistant connectors.

Heil Sound has introduced the PR 20 UT (Utility), a low-cost version of the PR 20. Specifications and performance characteristics are identical to the PR 20: wide frequency range, the ability to handle +140 dB SPL, -35 dB of rear rejection and natural articulation. The difference is a stripped down packaging scheme, putting the UT in the price range of any musician, recordist or sound company. The PR 20 UT microphone is suitable for live vocal and instrument applications. MSRP: $115.

RackTools 3.5, the free layout and specification software package that includes all products from Middle Atlantic, has been updated to save users time. The changes include new shapes for user-defined components and additional drawing export flexibility.

The DMI-8, an eight-channel version of the digital microphone interface, is now available from Neumann, which is designed to simplify setup for studio or live PA systems. The eight-channel version also offers AES 42 to EBU conversion, the ability to synchronize the mics without a sample rate converter, automatic word clock or AES 11 synchronization, an ability to handle sample rates from 44.1 kHz to 192 kHz and control and storage of the settings via Mac or PC. Danley Sound Labs’ SH-64 is designed as a standalone system for applications requiring high-SPL and low distortion. Danley said the SH-64 incorporates nine drivers in a single horn enclosure. Comprising four 15-inch woofers, four 4-inch mid-frequency drivers and a single 1.4-inch high frequency driver in a new enclosure, Danley touts the SH-64’s fidelity, low-frequency pattern control and magnitude/phase response.

WorxAudio Technologies’ self-powered TrueLine Series X115-P bass extension system, compact enough to fit in with flown array clusters in fixed installations, has a single 15-inch high excursion transducer and is well suited to high-energy clubs, theme park effects, houses of worship, musical theater and other applications.
