Yamaha Commercial Audio Systems, Inc. announced the availability of the iPad app StageMix for the Yamaha LS9 digital audio console. Similar to the iPad app recently launched for the Yamaha M7CL console, StageMix allows remote control of LS9 mix functions via a graphic interface from anywhere within wireless range. The application enables the engineer to set up monitor mixes from a performer's position on stage directly controlling mix parameters via the iPad.

For increased traction, Fastlane Drop Over Cable Protectors are now available with optional Carpet Kit with Velcro brand fasteners and/or anti-slip rubber pads for use on smooth surfaces. These interlocking cable protectors reduce trip hazards and can be extended to any length. Compact for easy setup, disassembly and storage.

Avid's VENUE IO16 Option Card for the VENUE SC48 is now available. This optional analog and digital I/O expansion card promises to enhance workflow flexibility and mixing options by enabling customers to connect to outboard gear such as automixers, EQs, dynamics and multi-effects processors and digital music players directly to the VENUE SC48 console.

Earthworks, Inc.'s SR40V High Definition Vocal Microphone features a 9mm back electret condenser-type transducer with a diaphragm measuring 5 microns, Hyper Cardioid polar pattern, and a frequency range spanning from 80 Hz – 40 kHz.

Audio-Technica's phantom-powered U851RO Omnidirectional Condenser Boundary Microphone features a small-diameter UniPoint capsule near the boundary to eliminate phase distortion and deliver clear, high-output performance.

Allen & Heath has released the latest version of its iLive firmware and Editor software, V1.8. The software includes support of the new xDR-16 expander hardware, MixPad app and enhancements including a new scene safes system, additional channel and mix compressor modes, greater I/O FX capabilities, a speaker matrix rack processor, third party TCP/IP control functionality and output socket polarity.

L-Acoustics has teamed up with control and automation specialist AMX to provide external control of the LA4 and LA8 amplified controllers from an AMX touch screen panel.

The paintable version of Sennheiser's miniature MKE 1 serves as a solution for costume designers and sound engineers working on drama, plays, musicals, shows and televised events. The clip-on mic can be colored with markers or spray paint, allowing the tiny lavalier to be concealed underneath the artist's costume and make-up.

Aviom's Pro64 Network Manager is a PC-based application that provides status monitoring and control of a Pro64 audio network from a central location. The graphical interface helps users manage complex audio networks. Individual device settings can be changed without manual front panel adjustments. Aviom announced that the software is now available for download.

D.A.S. Audio's Road 12A and the Road 15A are low-profile 12-inch and 15-inch two-way powered stage monitors with neodymium magnet assemblies for the loudspeaker drivers, the new M-75N neodymium compression driver, a pure titanium diaphragm featuring a 75mm copper-clad, aluminum flat-wire voice coil and a copper shorting ring surrounding the pole piece for each motor system. The driver is attached to a new 40ºH x 60ºV horn.
