D.A.S. Audio’s Action Series loudspeakers include six models in active and passive configurations; 12 models in all. They include the Action M12 and powered M12A floor monitors; Action 12 and 12A loudspeakers; Action 15 and 15A loudspeakers; dual-transducer Action 215 and 215A loudspeakers; Action 18 and 18A subwoofers and dual-transducer Action 218 and 218A subwoofers.

American Audio’s SenSeries Speaker System is designed with venues where space and visual aesthetics are at a premium. The series includes the Sense 8, Sense 12 and Sense 15 Speakers, along with the Sense 15B and Sense 18B Subwoofers.

RCF’s VSA Series of digital steerable column arrays include three models, the VSA 2050, VSA 1250 and VSA 850. All are designed to use DSP technology to optimize each speaker’s vertical acoustic dispersion to the listening area, with minimal visual impact.

The Aubion X.8, developed by Germany-based AFMG and DSpecialists, is an 8-input measurement device that connects via standard Ethernet as an alternative to USB and FireWire.

Kaltman Creations’ paddle-shaped IWxANT Amplified Directional Antenna, for use with Invisible Waves IWx systems for amplified, directional RF analysis, promises 10 dB of additional gain through a calibrated onboard analyzer. The inherent directional characteristics of the LOG Periodic antenna allow for directional analysis while excluding background RF. The IWxANT features a bias “T” power injector with DC blocker (SMA connections); 12V power supply (for applications other than with IWx); a BNC to SMA adaptor, an SMA to SMA jumper and microphone stand mount. Specs include 450MHz to 870MHz frequency range, with usable gain up to 950MHz; 50 Ohms impedance, close to a 100-degree beam pattern; 3dB or 10dB gain select options and a BNC connection (BNC cable not included).

Lexicon’s DD-8 Multi-Room Power Amplifier from Harman is now available in a black finish. The Lexicon DD-8 8-channel amplifier with DriveCore technology delivers 125 watts into each of its eight channels. It measures 2.1 by 17.3 by 14.9 inches. Harman’s DriveCore amplifier IC chip, developed with Texas Instruments, incorporates a new level of component integration into an IC that is smaller than a postage stamp. The black version of the Lexicon DD-8 will be available in January 2012.

Technomad’s DragonFly, featured at ISE2012 (Jan. 31-Feb. 2, RAI Exhibition Center, Hall 3, Booth #3D144), is a weatherproof, all-in-one, self-casing portable PA system for the commercial pro audio market, well-suited for mobile pro audio and staging events that require lightweight portability, quick setup, ease of operation and durable construction for outdoor events.  The weatherproof design fully protects system components from moisture, dirt, shock and more.

Shure’s A300SM shock mount accessory is designed to  provide superior isolation while securely connecting to Shure’s KSM353 ribbon microphones.  Designing the A300SM wasn’t easy — the KSM353 weighs 1.5 lbs. and lacks a secure attachment point. The A300SM’s designers also had to achieve the right tension and for the allowable movement to perpendicular with the movement of the ribbon. They came up with a design that uses wire rope instead of traditional elastic bands or rubber o-rings. The A300SM also features a ShureLock thread design.

Altinex’s DIGI Sniffer Digital Video Signal Detector/Tester for AV consultants and integrators, digital video signal strength. The handheld unit is compatible with HDMI, DVI, and Display Port signal types and accommodates any signal resolution.

Audix’s TM1 Plus is a combination kit which includes the TM1 measurement microphone, threaded acoustic windscreen, shock mount clip, ½ inch calibrator adaptor and microphone calibration data on CD. The data files are a numeric representation of the TM1 frequency response. Together with the microphone, these can give sound engineers and designers an accurate picture of how the PA system is reacting throughout a room in real time. TM1 Plus also lets users accumulate multiple microphones, essentially creating matched sets once the data files are input into the software measurement programs.

The first product offered as part of Hosa Technology’s new Mogan Microphones brand of subminiature microphones is the Mogan Standard Omni Earset Microphone. It features a 3.0 mm omni-directional capsule with -45 dB nominal sensitivity.

Yamaha Commercial Audio Systems is replacing the 01V96VCM with its new 01V96i digital mixer. Available during the first quarter of 2012 at the same MRSP as its predecessor ($2,699), the 01V96i comes with a 16-track USB 2.0 interface for multi-track recording via MAC or PC, and the cosmetics are black instead of dark blue. The 01V96i features 16 in/16 out USB audio streaming at 96kHz and multi-channel in/out via expansion card or ADAT, and can be integrated with ASIO and Core Audio DAW software programs. The 01V96 comes bundled with the latest version of Steinberg’s Cubase AI, Yamaha VCM Effects and REV-X reverb. The 01V96i also has a sampling rate of 24bit/96kHz and improved head amps with onboard 24bit/96kHz A/D and D/A converters. The mixer also shares all the functionality of its predecessor including 100mm motor faders, 99 scene memories for instant recall and user-defined keys.
