TEL AVIV, ISRAEL — Waves Audio, the industry-leading developer of professional audio digital signal processing technologies and the recipient of a Technical GRAMMY Award, is now shipping the Waves Loudness Meter Plus (WLM Plus) plugin. The next generation of the 2012 TEC Award-winning WLM Loudness Meter plugin, the WLM Plus brings anticipated enhancements and features new correction and adjustment tools.

ZWAAG, NETHERLANDS — Based on Alcons’ R-Ray design study from 2008, the RR12 extends Alcons’ famous line-source technology into different applications. By implementing the unique features of Alcons’ multiple-patented pro-ribbon technology in a modular concept, the RR12 has been developed as “building block” to create tight packed arrays for controlled sound coverage in the widest variety of audience areas.

Waves Audio is now shipping its Scheps 73 plugin. The Waves Scheps 73 is a 3-band EQ modeled on the classic 1073 console EQ and mic preamp module and developed in association with well-known mixing engineer Andrew Scheps (Adele, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Black Sabbath, Lana Del Rey, Metallica, Jay-Z). Using new technologies to model the Marinair transformer, Waves says its Scheps 73 plug-in meticulously captures all the sonic characteristics of the 1073, including its harmonic distortion, whose overtones were tweaked by Andrew Scheps himself.

EDISON, NJ — DVA Composer is an easy-to-use software program for configuring and aiming dB Technologies DVA Series of active line array and subwoofer modules. A useful tool to aid audio engineers plan and deploy the dB Technologies system, the software is designed for intuitive handling, determining the optimum angles and system presets based on the array height, desired range and number of DVA components entered by the user; provides all the mechanical data, frame angle positions and flybar settings; and determines the proper DSP EQ presets.

Carvin Audio is following the introduction of its compact TRx3210 line array element, pictured here, with plans to feature its new Active TRx3210A 2500w tri-amped version (not pictured) at Winter NAMM 2014. Also set for the show: Carvin’s TRC400A and TRC600A “A” series of compact, active, column array systems, featuring the new TRx3018A Sub and TRx3903 columns.
