PreSonus announced that Studio One 3, the most significant update to its powerful, easy to use digital audio workstation, is now shipping.

A firmware upgrade for the TouchMix-8 and TouchMix-16 digital mixers retains all the features and performance, while including critical updates to improve mixer stability and Wi-Fi connectivity, and providing powerful new capabilities. New functions include built-in info and screens in a choice of six languages, support for MIDI-over-USB footswitches, more flexible scene recall functions and the ability to use aux mixes as subgroups. All updates are supported in the new (free) TouchMix 2.1 iOS app for iPad, iPhone and iPod Touch.

A-T’s Dante products – ATND971 boundary microphone and ATND8677 desk stand – are now compatible with Biamp Systems Tesira v2.3, BoseControlSpace Designer software v4.3 and Symetrix SymNetComposer v3.0.

Based on innovative algorithmic FIR (Finite Impulse Response) reverberation technology is the new H-Reverb plug-in from Waves. The FIR engine powering H-Reverb lets users customize the reverb decay envelope beyond the standard linear forms, resulting in perfectly gated, real reverse and dense reverb tails that don’t muddy up the mix. Advanced analog modeling along with a drive control feature offers signal behavior previously only found in high-end hardware reverbs.
