ANAHEIM, CA – American Audio will debut six new additions to its line of professional audio products at the 2017 NAMM show. A new range of vocal microphones include the entry level mic VPS-20, the VPS-60 and the top of the range mic, the VPS-80. Also making its debut is the WU-419V wireless mic package, plus two new pairs of headphones, the BL-40 and BL-60. The products will be on display at the ADJ Group of Companies booth, #5774.

QSC introduces the K Cardioid Subwoofer, which provides all the benefits of a cardioid subwoofer array but in a single, compact enclosure. “Keeping bass in its place” for mobile entertainers, AV production and rental professionals, as well as modestly-sized performance venues, the K Cardioid Subwoofer manages low frequencies on the stage, or any application where undesirable low frequency energy needs to be minimized. The K Cardioid subwoofer is expected to be available in the first half of 2017.

QSC, LLC is expanding its popular E Series loudspeaker line with two new models: the E218SW dual 18-inch subwoofer and E215 dual 15-inch full-range cabinet. This now brings the model count of the series to six. Both models will ship in spring 2017.

Unveiling at this week’s NAMM show are the Allen & Heath Compact dLive “C” Class digital mixers, with new surfaces and MixRacks that open up its dLive platform to a wide spectrum of AV, installation and live event roles. The range includes the first 19” rack-mountable dLive surface, the ultra-compact C1500. Three new MixRacks are in the series: CDM32, CDM48 and CDM64, plus three new control surfaces, the 19” rack mountable C1500, C2500 and twin screen C3500. All are founded on XCVI, the same 96kHz FPGA core that drives A&H’s flagship dLive S Class mixers, while also sharing its Deep processing architecture, allowing high-performance compressors and processing emulations to be embedded directly within the inputs and mix channels. The new boards are also also provide “surfaceless” mixing, using a MixRack with a laptop or tablet for control.

D.A.S. Audio’s Event Line Array Systems Performance Simulator enables users to quickly and easily calculate how many Event 208A or Event 210A systems are required to properly cover a given audience, or a determined audience area. Available online via the D.A.S. website, the simulator offers aspiring professionals, church sound volunteers and similar groups of people the answers  – in just a few clicks – to common questions such as  “How many systems do I need for 3,000 people?”

RCF expands its HDL active line array series with the HDL6-A, with two 6.5-inch woofers flanking a 1-inch exit compression driver on a 100° x 10° waveguide, with 1,400 watts of onboard biamplification. Rear controls include input gain and two presets – a linear nearfield setting for pole-mount/ground stack use, and an HF boost for longer throw applications. Flying, pole mounting or ground stack mountings are available. A flyable HDL12-AS powered 12-inch sub is also offered.

FLORENCE ITALY – B&C has expanded its RBX range of subwoofers with the addition of a 15-inch alternative: the 15RBX100 high output subwoofer subwoofer. It
 features a 25mm high, 4-inch (100mm) diameter copper wire voice coil that is combined with a laminated double silicone spider, water resistant curvilinear cone, and triple roll surround – for even more excursion and linearity.

Synthax Inc. introduces the Ferrofish A32 AD / DA converter with support for Dante audio networking. Designed to streamline system cabling in both live and installed sound applications, the A32 Dante supports a wide range of audio formats and also serves as a hi-end audio format converter. Dante does away with heavy, expensive analog or multicore cabling, replacing it with low-cost, easily available Cat-5e, Cat-6 or fiber optic cable for a clean, lightweight, and economical solution over a single, standard IP network. It will be available in the first quarter of 2017.

The UE 18+ Pro is the company’s second-generation flagship custom in-ear monitor and adds proprietary True Tone Drivers to a redesigned acoustic system, fort more detail, separation, presence and coherence in a four-way crossover, triple-bore and six drivers per monitor design. The drivers extend the frequency range by 3kHz to enhance the upper band frequency response and an adjusted midrange gain improves presence, for a clear, yet warm sound. It’s available worldwide in December 2016 through Ultimate Ears Pro and authorized dealers, for a suggested retail price of $1,500. Numerous faceplate color options and custom faceplate designs are offered.

QSC, LLC announces that the Q-SYS Platform will support AES67, an interoperability standard for audio-over-IP between various networking solutions. This new feature will be part of the upcoming Q-SYS Designer v5.3 software release. AES67 allows high performance audio streaming between Q-SYS and third-party products supporting different native networked audio technology such as Dante, Ravenna and Livewire without requiring any additional hardware or license costs.

BEAVERTON, OR and NILES, IL — Biamp Systems and Shure announce integrated compatibility between Biamp Tesira audio processors and software and Shure Microflex Advance array microphones with Steerable Coverage. With the release of Biamp’s new Tesira software and hardware in February 2017, it will be possible to interact with the Dante-enabled Shure MXA910 ceiling array microphone and control signal levels within the Tesira software. This will enable system integrators to deliver digital audio solutions while reducing installation and setup time.

Fishman introduces the SA Performance Audio System, which consists of the SA330x wide dispersion modified line array speaker system, the SA Sub subwoofer and the SA Expand 4-channel expander/mixer. The system is being marketed for small to medium-sized events and debuts at Winter NAMM 2017.
