JBL VTX A12W Loudspeaker

JBL VTX A12W Loudspeaker

Featuring wide 120-degree dispersion, JBL’s VTX A12W expands the VTX A Series family. A new HF section combines the HF phase plug and waveguide into one part, for reduced distortion. The Radiation Boundary Integrator sums four 5.5-inch cone mids into the HF waveguide, while a 12-inch neodymium woofer has a dual-voice coil/dual-magnet design. For fast deployment, arrays are stacked four per vertical transporter cart in a 10-degree collapsed position. An internal locking mechanism makes it easy to set arrays from 0.25 to 10 degrees using selector pins. Enclosures can be finished in a variety of colors for fixed installs.

HDL30-A

RCF HDL30-A Now Shipping

RCF announced that its HDL30-A, the latest addition to its HDL family of line array products, is now shipping. The HDL30-A is a compact bi-amped 2-way active touring system for indoor and outdoor, medium-to-large events. It features two 10-inch woofers and a 4-inch titanium compression driver. The time coherent waveguide is the result of in-depth research and design. RCF says HDL 30-A is the first line array in a composite cabinet with zero-degree phase and ultra-linear amplitude response. The built-in 2200W class-D amplifier promises playback clarity and 137 dB SPL max. The unit also features RCF transducers with neodymium magnets. Considering the speaker’s acoustical power, it has an impressively low weight for easy handling and flying.

Audio-Technica High Density Spectrum-Efficient 6000 Series Wireless System

Audio-Technica’s new 6000 Series High Density Wireless System, now shipping, is a spectrum-efficient solution that lets users to pack 31 channels in 4 MHz of bandwidth. The 2016 FCC Incentive Auction has resulted in a repack of the broadcast spectrum, reducing the amount of spectrum available for wireless microphone operations and driving the need for spectrum-efficient technology to operate a high number of simultaneous channels in today’s market. To address this issue, Audio-Technica developed the 6000 Series, whose channels are spaced at 125 KHz intervals and can all be used simultaneously. The system operates in the 944-952 MHz band, which is free of broadcast TV. The FCC has expanded license eligibility for this band beyond broadcasters and content creators to include sound companies and venues that routinely operate 50 wireless microphones or more.
