Danley OS-12CX

Danley Fully-Weatherized OS-12CX Wide-Coverage Loudspeaker

Danley Sound Labs’ OS-12C fully weatherized subwoofer joins the company’s fully-weatherized OS-80 and OS-90 loudspeakers and the OS-115 subwoofer. Like its siblings, the OS-12CX is built to withstand rain, heat, and freeze/thaw cycles over an extended period while delivering high sonic performance. The Danley OS-12CX uses the company’s patented Synergy crossover design, Sentinel limiter protection circuitry and stainless steel mounting hardware. Specs include a frequency response that is +/-3dB from as low as 69Hz to as high as 21.7kHz using a single 12-inch coaxial driver. It is rated at 400W continuous and 1600W peak and is capable of delivering 121dB SPL continuous and 127dB SPL peak. Its dimensions are about 30 by 26 by 11 inches (HxWxD).

Outline Newton

Outline Launches Newton

Outline’s Newton FPGA-based processing platform for management and control combines multi-format channel routing with simultaneous standards conversion and digital signal synchronization. Newton also features new filter technology along with clock and powering redundancy, all in a 1U networkable chassis. The unit supports up to 15 clock source options and a virtually unlimited number of filters using Outline’s WFIR filtering technology. It also features independent, internal dual-redundant universal AC mains supplies with dual cooling fans. Newton’s I/O configuration will provide 216 channels in both directions simultaneously using a fully automatic clock source and audio signal switchover facilities. The system and set-up are fully controllable via Outline Dashboard software for Mac OS. Newton is available in three hardware versions: Newton 16, Newton 16+4 and Newton 16+8.

CCX12

Fulcrum Acoustics CCX12 12-Inch Subcardioid Coaxial Loudspeakers

Fulcrum Acoustics announced the launch of its newest product line: CCX12 12-Inch Subcardioid Coaxial Loudspeakers. They join the CCX1295 (90 x 45 degree) announced last summer. The line now features a full range of horn patterns for a wide range of applications. New models include the CCX1265 (60 x 45 degrees), CCX1277 (75 x 75 degrees), CCX1200 (100 x 100 degrees) and CCX1226 (120 x 60 degrees). The CCX12 product family marks the first application of Fulcrum’s Passive Cardioid Technology in their extensive TQ Install line of loudspeakers. CCX12 loudspeakers provide 9 dB of low frequency attenuation in the rear hemisphere without requiring additional cancellation drivers, amplifiers or signal processing channels.

SXH218 Hybrid Horn/Reflex Subwoofer

Martin Audio SXH218

Martin Audio announced its new Ultra-high output subwoofer, the SXH218 Hybrid Horn/Reflex Subwoofer. The SXH218 promises to serve as a powerful subwoofer capable of producing 148dB peak output at 1m. It is designed as the ideal partner for Wavefront Precision WPC arrays where maximum low frequency output is required as well as a standalone solution for premium permanent installations such as nightclubs. Its Hybrid horn/reflex loading combines the acoustic efficiency and impact of bass horn technology with the low frequency extension of a reflex design, enabling it to produce significantly higher output levels than a traditional reflex-loaded subwoofer. With an operating range of 32-150Hz + 3dB, it features dual long-excursion 18-inch (460mm)/4.5-inch (115mm) voice coil neodymium drivers, with water resistant cones and triple roll surrounds.

RCF TTS15-A and TTS18-A MK2

RCF TTS15-A and TTS18-A MK2

RCF has expanded its low frequency offerings with the introductions of TTS15-A single 15″ and TTS18-A MK2 single 18″ loudspeakers. The TTS15-A’s 15″ woofer is powered by an onboard 1100-watt RMS Class-D amplifier with a frequency response from 40-400 Hz and 134 dB SPL maximum output. The TTS18-A MK2 is an upgrade to the original TTS18-A with new amplifier and transducer technology. This lets RCF increase the power by 40 percent to 1400 watts with frequency response down to 35Hz, and ability to achieve 136 dB max SPL. The transducer is an 18″ hypervented woofer with 4″ voice coil. RCF’s propriety RDNet onboard allows for integration in total system design as well as the ability to remote monitor all components in the cabinet with DSP to incorporate into system audio control functionality. The design of the subwoofer cabinets allow them to be positioned vertically or horizontally, with M20 pole receptacles on both top and side.
