The Switch Back M8RX Preamp and Multi-channel Headphone Monitoring Interface is like two products in one. It has eight channels of audio mixing: two studio-quality mic preamps, two analog line inputs and four Dante inputs/outputs, with zero-latency analog mixing and monitoring of the four analog inputs. Featuring the same 5-watt headphone amp as the Hear Back PRO and OCTO systems, it connects using Cat-5e/Cat-6 PoE power and can be used standalone or with optional Hear Technologies software to control M8RX interfaces on the network, to set gain, phantom power and LED color. Street price is $589.

Meyer Sound announces Spacemap Go, a new spatial sound design/mixing tool that leverages the processing power of its Galaxy network platform. The Spacemap Go iOS app provides a flexible and easy-to-use touch pad interface for Spacemap multi-channel panning, using one or more connected iPads to cost-effectively configure, program and implement sophisticated spatial sound mixing. Io Audio Technologies introduces new standard sizes of its Powerlatch series of rugged AC cable with 6- and 25-foot options joining the current sizes of 3 and 10 feet for the Powerlatch to Powerlatch cables. The Powerlatch to Edison cables will add a 3-foot option to join their standard sizes of 10 and 25 feet. Designed for use in indoor and outdoor environments, the Powerlatch AC power cables utilize a weatherproof jacket to ensure proper performance and safety in most applications. They are fitted with rugged locking connectors that provide the safest connection for high current applications by virtually eliminating the possibility of accidental unplugging. The connectors are also specifically keyed, and color coded for input (blue) and output (gray).
