Trinity Take Three

After construction is complete, volunteers will play a big role in moving the gear from the gym to the new sanctuary.

The Feb. 2004 issue of FOH had an article that featured Trinity on the Hill United Methodist Church in Augusta, GA. The church had just hired a new Minister of Music and installed a sound system that was state-of-the-art (in 2004). That sound system functioned flawlessly for six years, but it's being retired and replaced as part of a major renovation called the Nehemiah Project.

Optimizing the Octagon at First Nazareth Baptist Church

South Florida Community College Gets World-Class Sounding PAC

The $12.5 million overhaul included completely reconfigured seating areas, new orchestra pit, backstage, lobbies and a dramatically different portico out front — and the new audio system was definitely not an afterthought.

"This is a state-of-the-art facility with features you would normally only find in a building that was built from the ground up," Brad Garven says. "It was an unusual renovation."

Honky Tonkin’ Down on the Strip

St. Malachy’s Church Reopens in Belfast

Built in 1844, St. Malachy's is the third oldest Roman Catholic church in Belfast, Northern Ireland. When the uniquely detailed church reopened after 15-month, $6 million restoration to its interior and exterior, parishioners marveled at the restored brickwork, plasterwork, marble altar, mosaic floor and "wedding cake" fan-vaulted ceiling.
