GREENSBORO, NC — The XL1 is the newest addition to the TrueLine family of line array loudspeaker systems from WorxAudio Technologies, a division of PreSonus Audio Electronics. Designed as an ultra-compact high performance system for the reproduction of speech and music program material, the new XL1 is available in both touring and install versions — both powered and passive — for a wide range of sound reinforcement applications.
More details from WorxAudio (www.worxaudio.com)
The new WorxAudio XL1 is a two-way, high efficiency, line array loudspeaker that incorporates a large format 1.4-inch exit compression driver coupled to a stabilized proprietary FlatWave Former that delivers clear, penetrating high frequencies over a predictable and controlled coverage area. Dual 8-inch cone transducers coupled to the Acoustic Integrating Module minimize cone filtering throughout the entire operating range.
Powered versions of the WorxAudio XL1 incorporate WorxAudio’s new PDA-1000 power amplifier with integrated DSP, Dante audio networking capability, and WorxControl (a loudspeaker management system). The PDA-1000 is a 2-channel, Class D power amp with 500W per channel and includes XLR Input, and XLR Pass thru. With integrated Dante audio networking capability, powered XL1 versions offer a no hassle, self-configuring, true plug and play digital audio networking experience.
Key features of WorxControl include an 800 ms alignment delay adjustable in 0.1 ms increments so operators can perfectly align delay systems, center fills and more. There’s also a Limiter with fully variable threshold that enables one to control dynamics without a mixer or an output processor as well as a Compressor with fully variable attack, release, threshold, ratio, and make-up gain. The amplifier can be protected from outdoor elements with the optionally available rain shield.
Central to the XL1’s performance attributes is its 160-degree horizontal dispersion pattern—a characteristic for which WorxAudio line array systems are known. The unusually broad horizontal dispersion capabilities of the XL1 help ensure even coverage throughout the listening environment.
The XL1 features a sturdy multi-ply plywood enclosure, with a multi-layered catalyzed polyurethane finish. A perforated, powder coated steel grill with a high transmission ratio offers excellent protective properties. The custom designed flyware enables users to easily array the system to the precise desired coverage area. The XL1 is available in black or white colors.
