Slated to begin shipping this month, Roland’s M-5000C puts the power and functions of its flagship 96kHz M-5000 mixer into a 30-inch wide, 70-pound unit. The M-5000C shares the O.H.R.C.A. platform, with 128 freely definable audio paths; a 72-bit summing bus; expansion slots supporting Dante, MADI, Waves SoundGrid and REAC protocols; redundant power supplies; and support of multi-track recording/playback and Roland M-48 personal mixers. It features 16 onboard local inputs and eight outputs; a variety of 24-bit/96 kHz I/O stage boxes/digital snakes are offered.
