Now shipping, Millennia Media’s HV-316 packs 16 channels of the company’s pristine TEC award-winning Millennia HV-3 microphone preamplifiers under remote Dante control in a road-hardened, single-rackspace chassis. Designed for harsh 24/7/365 environments under grueling 150-degree operation the unit’s power supply is rated for 650,000 hours MTBF. Under that road-hardened chassis, the unit features both 12 VDC (battery) and 90-240 VAC worldwide powering, with a provision for redundant power supply capability for fail-safe, glitch-free operation.
Features include: simultaneous control of up to 256 channels via Dante Ethernet; a 16-channel analog output option; a matched discrete-octet transistor gain topology; the Millennia HV-3’s classic double-balanced circuit; high-definition meters; grouping/linking/scene management; temperature monitoring; paralleled next-generation AKM A/D conversion assuring >130dB dynamic range; and +34dBu input headroom for use in the most extreme audio environments. Gain is controllable in 64 1-dB steps; sample rate is adjustable from 44.1 Hz to 192k Hz.
Other perks include: laser-trimmed FET-based output stages (analog output option) capable of driving 1,000-foot cable runs with ease; all channels matched to within 0.08 dB; and hand-built in Northern California, USA.
US street price is $3,500 for a short-loaded 8-channel version (can be factory upgraded to full 16-channel operation) or the 16-channel model at $5,300. Analog outputs are optional.
