ETS SDS Audio Splitter Panel (SDS916)

Designed for Energy Transformation Systems by Broadway theater sound designer Shannon Slaton, the SDS Audio Splitter Panel (SDS916) has EtherCON RJ-45 jacks to 32 female XLR and 32 male XLR connectors running signals over Cat-5e (or better) cable. The unit is versatile, lightweight and economical, rack mounting is a snap and it’s manufactured and available only through ETS and its distributors.

With this SDS916 custom theater Audio Splitter Panel, there’s no more lugging and installing heavy coax cable and as a passive unit, there is no need for power. Phantom power is supported when shielded UTP cables are used. There is no loss of signal integrity.

The SDS916 Audio Splitter Panel has two XLR connectors – female and male that connect with each individual pair of UTP cables that make it suitable for analog audio signals. By using the ETS InstaSnake SDS901 and SDS902, signals can be converted to and from the UTP cables.

This setup offers a complete solution that optimizes nearly any professional audio installation. It is lightweight (UTP vs. coaxial cable), cost-effective, quickly and easily installed. Testing and dismantling the setup is a snap.
