Axiom Pro Audio now offers its first constant curvature array system, based on the full-range AX1012 enclosure. Capable of deployment as individual, point-source systems or in horizontal or vertical array configurations, AX1012 can meet the needs of a wide variety of applications, from small, portable FOH systems, to fills of all types, to permanent install systems for in-the-round venues like sports arenas.
More details from Axiom Pro Audio (www.axiomproaudio.com):
The powered 1,200W (900+300) two-way system combines a 12” woofer with a 1.4” exit neodymium HF compression driver on a 100° H x 20° V dispersion constant curvature Seamless Transition Waveguide (SWT).
Onboard DSP includes 96k Hz/40-bit floating point CORE processing with PRONET remote control, and a passive version (AX1012P) is also offered. Integral suspension hardware for horizontal or vertical array installs is offered and a pole mount simplifies freestanding applications.
The STW (Seamless Transition Waveguide) ensures a precise control of mid-high frequencies both on horizontal and vertical axis, for a perfect acoustic coupling between the enclosures that form the array. The unique waveguide design produces vertical line source directivity with a horizontal pattern that is maintained down to approximately 950 Hz.
The tour-grade 15mm phenolic birch plywood cabinet is provided with four integrated steel rails, to be used for coupling the cabinets with the KPTAX1012 aluminium Coupling Bars. A comprehensive set of accessories is available for creating horizontal or vertical arrays, for ground-stacking the systems and also for pole mounting one or two units.
