Allen & Heath SQ-Rack

American Music & Sound, one of the leading distributors of musical instruments and pro audio products in North America, is planning a strong showing at the NAB show on April 6-9, 2025.

More details from American Music and Sound (www.americanmusicandsound.com):

The NAB show, a premier global event for the broadcast, media, and entertainment industry, is held annually in Las Vegas, where professionals can discover new technologies, network, and learn about industry trends. AM&S will have an all-new booth, showcasing the latest and greatest products from many of their associated brands.

Among these latest products is Allen & Heath’s SQ-Rack, a 48 channel / 36 bus compact rack-mountable digital mixer from their SQ series. With world class FX, signature DEEP processing, a high-resolution 96kHz digital audio engine, along with a variety of expansion and control options, this versatile and powerful digital mixer packs all the punch that’s desired for broadcast engineers.

Allen & Heath will also be showcasing new workflow features from their flagship dLive digital mixers. Adding to the console’s already powerful performance are additions including the all new RackUltra FX upgrade. The RackUltra FX card brings together a collection of effects rivaling many of the most advanced digital plugins on the market.

Allen & Heath CQ-12T

AM&S plans to also present an exciting giveaway of Allen & Heath’s TEC Award-winning compact mixer, the CQ-12T. With gain and feedback assistance, 96kHz audio quality, built-in high quality FX, DCAs and Mute Groups, rotary and soft controls, and paired apps for active and versatile mixing — the CQ is unparalleled in its quality and functionality among compact digital mixing solutions for musicians and bands, home producers, small venues and AV installers. For more details on this exciting giveaway, attendees of NAB need only visit the AM&S booth during the official exhibit hours.

CAD Audio WX100

Another AM&S brand, CAD Audio, plans to present the latest and greatest in wireless microphone technology with the WX100; a 2.4 GHz XLR wireless adapter designed for wired microphones, featuring phantom power capabilities for condenser mics. This design easily makes any wired microphone wireless, enhancing the mobility of any performer on stage. Other new additions to the CAD lineup this year include the WX1000GN, a wireless goose-neck microphone, the WX1000HW, a wireless headset microphone, the WX19, a wireless earpiece microphone, and the GXN18VP, a versatile goose-neck microphone with multiple continuous and strong pickup patterns. With these latest CAD microphones in the mix, engineers can maintain dynamic control over the microphone’s direction, for consistent crystal-clear pickup directly from source to mic in an even wider multitude of scenarios.

Hi-Fi audio manufacturer, Lake People, will showcase their newest products, the G103D4 DANTE and the G101 Headphone pre-amps. The G101 delivers powerful pre-amplification for headphones ranging from 8-600 ohms, with an added Pre-Gain function for even more flexibility on level adjustment and multiple connection options. The G103D4 is aimed entirely at functionality with DANTE networks, with DANTE 4/4 input and two independent stereo headphone amplifiers with independent control. This headphone pre-amp is expertly designed to drive any headphone from low to high impedance and with low or high sensitivity, and to adapt to DANTE networking signals.

With so many powerful and high quality new products on the market, AM&S stands to make a serious impact at this year’s NAB in Las Vegas. Attendees are encouraged to check out their booth in the North Hall, #N2013.
