ACS, a British custom hearing protection and IEM manufacturer that established its U.S. office at S.I.R. Studios in New York City last fall, announced that its most recent range of custom-made hearing protection products, the PRO series, is now available for the first time in the U.S.

This past October the company opened its US headquarters at S.I.R. Studios, the iconic rehearsal studio located in the heart of New York City’s Chelsea district.
On the benefits of the PRO series, Adam Rhodes, ACS US Director, said, “Custom-fitted to the ears of each user and manufactured from a soft medical-grade silicone, the PROs are more discreet than existing custom earplugs. With a range of 5 interchangeable filters, customers have a wide choice of attenuation solutions to better adapt their listening experience to their specific needs. Utilizing the latest fibre technology, their vented design lessens the occlusion effect. The PRO17 offers the flattest attenuation of any earplug currently available; they are currently being used by some of our top entertainment customers, such as DJs Tiesto and Armin Van Buren, for every live gig,” he said.
The PRO series, developed and carried exclusively by ACS, represents our second generation of custom hearing protection products. “We wanted to develop a new range of sophisticated filtered hearing protection that would fit the smallest of ears and offer a wider range of tailored sound reduction to complement our existing ER9, 15 & 25 products,” said Rhodes. “With both PRO’s and ER’s available from one source, ACS has the best range of custom hearing protection available. Adam Sellers of Plexi PR, a music public relations firm based in NYC, provides some insight on his experience with his newly acquired pair of PROs: “The difference was night and day compared to my old customs. The fit in my ear was perfect. They were soft and comfortable, wearable for hours upon first use, and discrete. Some people didn’t notice I was wearing them. The sound clarity was amazing–a huge step up from my old pair. I really didn’t find myself bothered by wearing them at all.”
