With one of these puppies you should never have to hear those fateful words, “I haven’t got enough power, Captain” on a gig.
In fact just to put it all into perspective, we asked amp manufacturers to tell us about their offerings that could crank out at least 1000 watts a side into a 4 ohm load (none of that 2 ohm cheating crap…) And we still came up with nearly 30 models and there are surely a few missing from the list.
Not only do they put out major amounts of power, check those weight numbers. Not so long ago an amp with a quarter this much power would weigh three times as much. And most of them have some form of digital control so you can leave the crossovers, and system delay at the shop.
Oh yeah, that perspective thing…
They did the entire Woodstock festival with less power than one of these amps crank out. Do we have it good or what?
