Rigger Ryan Lipman, 31, Dies in Fall Near NFL Super Bowl Site

GLENDALE, AZ — Ryan “Scrappy” Lipman, 31, died Jan. 14 after falling more than 25 feet to a stage under construction for the NFL’s Super Bowl XLIX tailgate party outside the University of Phoenix Stadium. Emergency responders transported Lipman from the work site to the hospital about noon. Lipman succumbed to his injuries after reaching the hospital.

CHARLOTTE, NC — So far, Don Kendrick, director of media services, has turned to DiGiCo for consoles installed in the church’s main sanctuary (an SD5, installed last year and pictured here), the Student Life Center (SD8 and SD9 consoles) and Family Life Center (SD11). Kendrick confirmed that the church is now turning to DiGiCo yet again with a fifth console — another SD5 — for a new A/V center slated for completion Q1 2015. Dallas-based Russ Berger Design Group designed the new A/V facility.
