ALLEROED, DENMARK – For French artist Jeanne Added’s first pop tour, sound engineer Gilles Olivesi chose DPA Microphones – specifically the d:facto – to reflect the power and emotion of her voice. Olivesi was looking for a “very flat microphone that wouldn’t try to enhance anything in her voice,” he says, adding that the d:facto “keeps her voice sounding natural.” Added’s tour continues through the end of 2017.

Local Natives Tour with Allen & Heath

LOS ANGELES – Indie-rock band Local Natives carried Allen & Heath’s dLive S Class digital mixing system on its 2016 tour across the US and Europe. Monitor engineer Laurence Eaves provided the five-piece band with 12 separate in-ear and wedge mixes from 48 on-stage sources, using a dLive S5000 Surface with DM64 MixRack. The band is currently preparing for its 2017 tour.

ATLANTA – The semi-annual Bronner Brothers International Beauty Show is a three-day professional beauty industry event with more than 30,000 beauty professionals attending for education, workshops and entertainment. The show culminated with the televised, legendary hair battle on the main stage.

 Locally based AEE Productions provided an Eastern Acoustic Works (EAW) KF line array sound reinforcement system for the show’s entertainment and fashion events, including the televised competition.

MANCHESTER, UK – VME provided a Martin Audio MLA System for Anthony Joshua’s latest International Boxing Federation (IBF) World Heavyweight Championship defense at Manchester Arena. FOH engineer Mike Bell says, “The broadcast mics are so sensitive that it’s vital we are able to deaden the sound around the ring and then begin the coverage from the VIP section,” he says. “Having that level of control with MLA is incredible — we would not be able to put these microphones out over the PA with such clarity if it was not for this system.”
