NEW YORK CITY – Irish pub Stout, a popular Midtown Manhattan watering hole for more than a decade, recently replaced its sound system with Ashly nX-Series multi-channel amplifiers from Starview Satellite. Rich Trombitas of Cardone, Solomon & Associates  says, “The old amps at Stout were on pretty much 24/7, grinding away at full idle current, even when the place was closed. In contrast, the Ashly nX-Series amplifiers have an energy-efficient ‘sleep mode’ that they fall into when no input is detected.”

Westbury National Upgrades Toronto’s Great Hall with Adamson Systems

TORONTO – The Great Hall, built in 1889, recently underwent interior and exterior renovations. The venue’s production team worked with Adamson Systems Engineering and Westbury National on improvements within the 10,000-square-foot Main Hall and 5,000-square-foot Longboat Hall. The Main Hall now features Adamson S10i line arrays and E219 subs. The Longboat Hall has been equipped with Adamson Point 12A and 8Pi speakers and A218 subs.

Clair Cohesion Series Makes Australian Debut with Keith Urban

SYDNEY – JPJ Audio provided its new Clair Cohesion PA system for Keith Urban – the first artist to headline at the International Convention Centre (ICC). Though the venue is equipped with a d&b audiotechnik PA system, Urban is a longtime user of Clair. The integration of the gear was seamless, according to Urban’s FOH engineer Kirk Kelsey. The band’s Australian Ripcord Tour has been on the road for several months.
