Grace Cathedral Chooses Countryman Microphones

SAN FRANCISCO, CA – Grace Cathedral, well-known for its reproduction of Ghiberti's Gates of Paradise, two labyrinths, stained glass windows, medieval and contemporary furnishings, its 44-bell carillon, three organs and choir, recently chose Countryman E6 Omni and E6 Flex Omni microphones for its Chapel of Grace. Arthur Yeap, with audio consulting firm Novo Group, Inc., worked with the church on its audio needs.

HARRISBURG, PA – Metropolitan Acoustics, LLC and Clair Brothers Audio Systems designed and installed a new sound system for the Pennsylvania Farm Show Complex & Expo Center that includes nearly 800 Community loudspeakers strategically located throughout the complex's 11 buildings on 60 acres.

TEMECULA, CA – QSC WideLine Series line arrays have been used at the Pechanga Amphitheater here and other venues across the U.S. for performances by a wide range of artists this summer. At the Pechanga Amphitheater, a 4,500-seat outdoor venue that has hosted performances by Matchbox Twenty, Lady Antebellum, Alan Jackson and Daughtry, among others, the system consists of WideLine-10s.

OCCIDENTAL, CA – Sound Expressions installed JBL VerTec loudspeakers and Crown amplifiers recently as part of a larger renovation project for a gymnasium at the Alliance Redwoods Conference Grounds, which has served as a camp for families, churches and schools since 1946.

GREEN BAY, WI – Danley Sound Labs loudspeakers were recently installed at Lambeau Field, home to reigning NFL champion Green Bay Packers, part of a $2.5 million sound system overhaul. Sixteen Danley GH-60 Genesis Horns, 19 Danley SH-100s, 56 Danley SH-micros and 14 Danley TH-118 subwoofers were used to provide sound reinforcement for the 73,000-seat capacity venue.

WEST HOLLYOOD, CA – For the three-day Sunset Strip Music Festival, US Audio and Lighting supplied sound gear from L-Acoustics for the outdoor East and West Stages. The event, which involves music venues including Key Club, The Roxy Theatre, Whisky A Go Go, Viper Room and House of Blues, typically draws about 17,000 every year. This year's lineup included Bush, Public Enemy, Matt & Kim, Escape The Fate, The Dirty Heads, Cobra Starship, among others. And "native sons" Motley Crue was there to celebrate the band's 30th year.

McKINNEY, TX – The McKinney Performing Arts Center (MPAC), originally built in 1876 in the town's historic courthouse, has been equipped with a Tannoy VRAS in its 427-seat theatre. PMK Consultants designed the system and the Whitlock Group handled its installation.

TELLURIDE, CO – The Galaxy Theater, a 500-seat venue used by the Telluride Film Festival from Sept. 2-5, is a gymnasium converted with acoustical treatments overlaid with black drapery and works of art. To meet the demands of its discriminating audience, the organizers opted for a Meyer Sound EXP cinema sound system.
